Thursday evening, Manny had taken her mom's car to drive 20 minutes outside of Dallas to pick Clover up from her away baseball game. She had re-joined the team after Danny had a talk with her explaining that they needed a pitcher and she couldn't just leave the rest of the team high and dry. Clover agreed with him, knowing he was right, and continued on with the team.

Manny sped the two girls back home so they could get ready for their night out to dinner that Mateo and Kiara were treating them to. While Mateo was working for another hour and was going to meet them at the restaurant, Kiara was waiting for them at home.

Manny walked into the bathroom to hear Clover in the shower. She could see the African American girl's silhouette through the shower curtains.

"Can I borrow some perfume?" Manny asked, leaning against the sink. "If you have any."

Clover hummed as she thought.  "Yeah. There should be a blue bottle on my side of the dresser." She answered.

Manny didn't say anything back, just walking out and closing the door behind herself. When she walked into their shared bedroom, Manny could hear Esmerelda fussing from her nursery just next door.

Manny cooed at her daughter that she had already dressed in a small pink dress and flower headband after she walked into the room. Manny kissed her six month old daughter's cheeks as she bounced her in her arms. When Esmerelda finally quieted down, Manny walked back into her room with her to get comfortable.

By the time she got back, she saw Clover was out the shower and was getting dressed. She was in a black bra and blue underwear choosing clothes out of her side of the dresser while Manny flopped down on the bed.

Manny watched Clover get dressed since she had left her phone in the kitchen and Esmerelda fell asleep on her chest. Clover got dressed quickly in sneakers, ripped jeans, a simple grey shirt with no sleeves, and a black SnapBack. Clover turned around for approval from her best friend.

"You look good." Manny assured her. "What about me?"

Clover glanced over Manny's outfit of her white spaghetti strapped crop top and long burgundy skirt. She had on her favorite flip flops, too.

"You got a baby sleeping on you." Clover pointed out with a smile. "But other than that, great."

Manny nodded her head, watching Clover grab her wallet and phone and drop them on the bed so she knew where they were. Clover walked out the room while Manny heard Esmerelda wake up with a shriek.

"How was the game?" Manny asked aloud, holding Esmerelda in her arms as she fed her. "Y'all win?"

"Always do." Clover answered from the living room where Kiara was. "Undefeated. Baseball is a lot less of a challenge then football, to be honest."

Manny snickered, leaning back on the headboard. "Baseball team's real good. They always are. At least that's what my dad says."

Clover didn't reply, now talking to Kiara who caught her attention. Manny glanced down at the end of the bed where Clover's phone was ringing. She smirked seeing it was Dante, so she grabbed it.

Manny answered it and held it to her ear. "Hello. Clover's phone." She smiled. "Hey Dante. She's run off so she wants me to answer for her."

Clover ran into the room hearing Manny talking and stopped in the doorway with her hands on either side. She could faintly hear her boyfriend's voice through the phone. She watched Manny humming her responses between his sentences, but her interest peaked when Manny told Dante to text her.

"Give me my phone." Clover said, snatching her phone from Manny. "I need to talk to him."

Manny laughed, watching Clover start pacing around. She started to burp Esmerelda while Clover's jealousy was becoming evident.
