Saturday morning, while they knew all of the boys were probably asleep still, Manny was sitting in a chair beside her best friend watching Clover get her nails done for prom. Clover glanced over at Manny, who was looking at her fresh nails.
"Excited?"
Manny looked up and smiled. "Yeah. Who knew I'd be going to prom with my ex-boyfriend?"
Clover scoffed and rolled her eyes then stared at her nails being done by the nail tech. "At least you have a date. And Jacob was desperate. All the boys kinda are. It was either you were forced to go with Jacob or Stephen."
Manny giggled, pulling her phone out her shorts pocket. "I wonder what the boys are doing."

A few blocks away, Andrew was slouching in an empty barber chair as he watched Stephen and Diego get haircuts in a small barbershop. Behind him were Ethan and Jose, who both had just gotten theirs. Andrew looked up and saw Jacob running his fingers through his hair as he walked back from the bathroom, the little hair left from his haircut still on his shoulders.
"So you asked your ex-girlfriend to prom?" Andrew teased.
"At least I'm going with a girl who actually likes me," Jacob remarked, sitting down next to Jose on the leather couch along the wall. "You're date's Ethan."
"It's better than being alone." Ethan snickered.
"Don't drag me into this." Stephen sighed, staring at them through the mirror. "I didn't have anyone else to go with. I'm single, and I didn't really feel like making friends with a girl or dating a girl just to use them for prom pictures."
Diego paid the barber when he finished doing his hair and stood up to brush the hair off of him. "Are me and Jose the only ones who actually have dates?"
"Are me and Jose the only ones who actually have dates?" Ethan mimicked back at him. "Keep that same energy when I'm prom king. You'll be back in the spot you belong in life. Under my feet as my peasant."
Jacob nudged Ethan as payback for Diego, but Ethan didn't react to it. The boys left when Stephen finished and paid so they could head home to get dressed and head to the banquet hall Kiera had organized for them to have for their group sendoff.

Two hours later, the banquet hall was fully decorated, and the boys were walking around in their suits and ties. Kiara had gotten them a photographer even though all of their family and friends were there. Diego walked away from the group to pose for pictures with Mila, who was dressed up in her gold dress with champagne colored details around the sweetheart top and straps. She had her brown hair up in a bun. She kissed Diego's cheek when he rubbed his hand over her stomach.

Mila wrapped her arm around Diego's back, being careful not to mess up Diego's champagne suit jacket with black details that was over his white button up shirt matched with a black bow tie. He had on black slacks like all of the other boys and black dress shoes.
