One day, my father told me the best advice. He said, "one day you'll leave this world behind, so live a life you will remember. These are the nights that never die." Spend them laughing, smiling, and with the ones you love. We'll always call this ou...
Friday morning, instead of going to class and starting their school day, the baseball team boarded the school bus they were riding in to Waco, Texas for the baseball tournament.
Ethan flopped down in his seat behind Jose and sighed heavily, dropping his bags down on the floor since they each had their owns seats. He kicked his feet up onto the edge of the seat across from him where Diego was seated.
When all of the team was seated on the bus, the driver pulled off so they could be on time for the beginning of the tournament. Danny had a strict schedule he had to follow on what they were suppose to be doing where and for how long. At first, he wasn't too sure about Ricky accompanying the team, but now he was thrilled by it.
"How does Mateo do this?" Danny muttered, scrolling through his phone to look over the schedule again.
Ricky snickered from his window seat next to Danny. "It ain't easy. All you gotta do is yell at them, threaten them, blow your whistle, and every once in a while throw something at one of them. That's how I do it."
"And you're not the coach anymore." Danny reminded him. "Cause you almost got all of them killed."
Ricky shrugged in a nonchalant manner. "You say almost got all of them killed, I call it population control." He joked, smirking at Danny who just stared at him blankly. "I'm just messin' with you, man." Ricky chuckled.
Danny shook his head and looked forward as the noise of the twenty teenagers behind them filled his ears. "Whatever."
"Hey! Danny! Ricky!"
Both Ricky and Danny looked back at the back of the bus where they saw Ethan leaning out of his seat. The entire bus fell silent, meaning they had a question for the older men.
"What, Ethan?" Ricky asked in his monotoned voice. "This better not be stupid."
"Didn't a mass murder happen in Waco?" Ethan questioned.
"And that's stupid." Ricky muttered, looking back out the window and ignoring the conversation.
Danny chuckled, turning his body to face the masses. "Not a mass murder. It was a siege between the government, well not the government, more like federal agents and a religious cult. So...don't drink any Kool-aid. And stay away from people who ask you to move into a compound with them."
Diego chuckled, turning to Ethan who was across from him. "You're a cult's dream."
Ethan smiled widely with pride as his friends around him laughed.

Almost two hours later, the Grand Ridge Dallas Jaguars baseball team arrived to Waco, Texas. When they arrived to the hotel, they could see other teams from around Texas were just arriving also. The hotel didn't look too big, but big enough to hold most of the baseball teams here for the tournament.
