Don't eat the food? Don't. Eat. The. Food? DON"T EAT THE FOOD?
Why not eat the food? I mean, it's not like it's poisonous. Even if it was, my body would reject it, fight it off.
No. It can't be poisonous. I'm sure of it.
My stomach hurts. My entire dinner is sitting in the small toilet that sits in the far corner of my room. I am lying on my back on the cold, hard floor, trying to take it all in.
DO NOT EAT THE FOOD.
But why?!
And the handwriting.... I'm a very observant person. I know almost everyone's writing style in this place. But I had never seen this..... So that meant two possible things: I wasn't observant enough, or someone was going rogue. Those seemed to be the most likely senarios.
But the food?
I couldn't wrap my head around it.
Maybe I didn't have to.
Obviously whoever had given me my food was the one who had slipped me the note. So that meant a guard. A guard who was supposed to be keeping me up at night with loud noises and rude words. A guard who was silent for the second night in a row.
I crawled over to the food slot as quickly as I could and lifted it the few centimeters it could lift from the inside.
"Hello?"
But no one was there, no matter how many times I called out.
I was alone.
