Why was I so afraid?
Maybe it was because, at least where I used to be, I knew what was coming. But now? I had no idea. The thoughts ran through my head like wildfire. They all seemed ridiculous and plausible at the same time.
Before I found out who he was, I thought I could fight him off. I was powerful and dangerous. But now I wasn't so sure. Just the little of my powers I had used back at SHIELD had worn me to exhaustion. And he, Loki, obviously had powers of his own. You didn't get called a god for nothing.
We kept walking, further into the middle of no where. I stayed behind him, not too far and not too close. Where the hell were we going?
And then he stopped.
I looked around. There was still nothing here. When I looked a Loki, it was so weird to know that's who I was looking at, he was staring at the sky with his eyes closed.
All of a sudden, his eyes flashed open and he looked at me with panic in his eyes. "We must hurry." And he rushed towards me, put one hand on my waist and the other on the back of my head and pulled me towards him. "Hang on to me." I did as he asked, my face buried in his chest, my nostrils taking in his sweet scent.
"Heimdall!" Loki yelled.
And the next thing I knew, we were ablaze in a storm of rainbow, and shooting through the sky.
