(Loki)

I took a deep breath.

It may have been one of my last.

"They possessed her mind, Loki. What if she comes after you? What will you do then?" Thor asked me as we stood on my balcony.

"I will not harm her, if that's what you're asking." I said, not looking at him.

I heard him sigh beside me. "You still have not told me this plan of yours."

I turned to him. He was right.

"I need you to bring the mothers to me. But first, there's someone I have to make a deal with. And you'll hate me for it, but it must be done. And you have to trust me."

And then I told him the plan.

At first, he argued with me. But I told him it would work. That he had to trust me that I was right.

I had to be the right child, the right one to die.

There were just a few more things I had to settle first.

Tomorrow was the day. The day that I would kill Loki, get my revenge for what he had done to me.

I shivered at the fact that I had even let him touch me.

But never again.

I slept soundlessly, knowing I was about to make the universe a better place.

"I beg your pardon?" Heimdall exclaimed at me.

"Just do it." I really wasn't in the mood to argue.

"I really do not think this is the wisest idea you have ever had."

"No, it's not. But it's my only hope. Just open the gate, Heimdall, or I will open it myself." I felt my nostrils flare.

Heimdall reluctantly pushed the sword in its slot, making the gate spin.

And then I stepped through to Jotenheim.
