(Anna)

Now was the time.

I wasn't dressed in gear, but simple clothes. I didn't want to raise any suspicions.

Mrs. Anderson helped me with my hair, curling it. She also helped me put on a little bit of make-up. These were not things that I was used to doing, and she was kind enough to assist.

"I had always hoped for a daughter." She told me softly.

"But you only had one child? Harry?" I asked as she put eyeshadow on my eyelids.

"No. I had another son, Michael. But he was murdered. He was being the idiot he always was and it got him killed."

"I am very sorry to hear that."

"I did have a daughter, for a short while. She was just a babe. But she died. I never even got to hold her."

"That's terrible." And it was. I couldn't imagine losing a child.

She stroked my curls, making them softer. "Your are the closest thing to a daughter I have now. And I couldn't have asked for a more perfect child."

Harry made both of us jump by coughing loudly.

"You look mighty dashing." He complimented me.

I nodded my head in appreciation and stood up. "I think I'm ready."

Harry smiled in a way that made my insides squirm. "Follow me then."

"Wait, I wanted to talk to Anna a moment. I'll take her to you. You go on."

I looked at her curiously. "What is it?"

She soon had me wrapped in her arms, enveloped in her bony hug. Her lips were next to my ear and she whispered, "You don't have to kill him. It won't change anything."

"He tried to use me. Sell me." I retorted.

"I know." She held on to me tighter. "But the God of Mischief has certain capabilities. He's been thought dead before. It will not only be hard to kill him, but unwise. If his death were ever actually to occur, the universe could unravel."

"What makes him so special?" I spat, pushing her away.

"Just, maybe, reconsider." She folded her hands in front of her. "Come, you must be going."

I followed her out the door. Moments ago, I was sure of what I had to do.

And I still am.

I will kill Loki.

But I wasn't so sure about Mrs. Anderson.

She might have to go too.
