(Anna)
I was the first one to wake up.
At least, that's what I assumed. I was laying on top of this man, my legs draped over his abdomen. I scrambled away from him and brought my knees to my chest.
He was definately real this time.
But there was something about him. Some effect he had on me, that made me lose control. I didn't like that. Not. One. Bit.
I couldn't figure out why he was unconsious though. It's not like he just decided to take a nap in the middle of this small room. My eyes had adjusted to the dark and I found that it was actually a closet.
Suddenly, the man gasped for air and sat upright. He coughed a few times and held his chest. I sat motionless, so as to maybe decieve him, make him think I wasn't there.
"How long have you been awake?" His voice was deep, and soothing, with a bit of an edge to it. British, with a sort of foreign sound.
"Not long." Shut up! Why trust this man? He forced you into a closet with him.
"I see you found my note. About the food." My mouth dropped open.
I could tell he was looking at me, even though I couldn't see him. "That was you?" I said in disbelief.
"Yes." I heard him stand up, and walk towards me. "Now do you want to get out of here alive or not?"
"Who are you?" I asked, not moving from my spot on the floor.
"Your joking. You are quite literally being hunted. You murdered a man and mutliated him in your cell. You have your powers back and they know that. And you're worried about who I am?!" He actually sounded pissed off.
"I- I think I have a right to know who you are. Why should I go with you? What could you do for me that would assure my safety? I'm powerful. More powerful than you, no doubt. I can take care of myself."
All of a sudden, I could see the outline of his face right in front of mine. And then his hand was around my throat, cutting off my air.
"Don't. Just-- don't. Don't think for one second that you are more powerful than I. That's a lesson you need to learn now. And I wasn't asking you to come with me, I was telling you. You belong to me now. Me and only me. You do as I say, or I will kill you." I felt his cool breath on my face, but no matter how much I pulled at his hand on my throat, my strength didn't even come close to his.
He pulled me up by my neck so that I was standing. He was much taller than me, so my neck was arched back so that I could look him in the eye. All I could see was the shine of his eyeballs. Stars were beginning to invade my vision.
"O-- Ok. Okay!" I stammered quietly. And he let go.
"You do as I say, and I promise you, you will live a glorious life." His white teeth shined in the dark. He put the palm of his hand on my forehead and I felt a weird sensation.
I felt my clothes change and my skin feel tighter. My hair was in a ponytail, making my eyes bulge from my head. "We're posing as agents now. Follow my lead. Stay by my side no matter what." He moved his hand to the small of my back and I felt his other arm reach around me towards the door.
And then bright white light flooded my vision.
