♱•Twenty-Nine•♱

Renjun was glad it was the weekend, him and Jeno hadn't gotten much sleep last night. They did try to sleep but it turns out Jeno has pretty bad nightmares.

Renjun had woken up three times to small whimpers coming from the sleeping boy beside him. He woke him up and they would cuddle for around half an hour before finally drifting off to sleep again.
It had never occurred to him before that Jeno may have nightmares. That the incidents of that night corrupted his dreams and deprived him of sleep. It just made him want to look after Jeno even more than he already did.

"Renjun I'm so sorry" Jeno says for the tenth time that morning as he wraps his arms around the older boy from behind, placing a kiss to his neck.

"Jeno, stop apologising, you can't help it" Renjun shrugs Jeno off him, turning and looking up.

"I know but-" Jeno's words were cut off when they hear a loud knock at the door causing Renjun to jog over to it, turning the lock before swinging it open.

Jaemin stood with his arms crossed over his chest, a brow raised. "Seriously Renjun? Since when do we ever lock the door? Are you replacing me with Jeno now?" He glares at his roommate before pushing past and into the apartment.

Renjun's eyes drift over to Jeno before he slowly closes the door, leaving it unlocked to stop Jaemin's questions. "Sorry, I must have done it by accident" he mutters, shuffling back over to Jeno's side.

Renjun stays quiet, his eyes glued to the floor as he replays the conversation him and Jeno had the night before.
"How about we go out for breakfast, I'll pay as an apology for last night" Jeno says softly, rubbing his hand against Renjun's back.

"An apology? Damn what did you freaky kids do last night" Jaemin laughs "did he whip you too hard?"

"Omigod do you want to die?" Renjun snaps causing Jaemin to collapse into a fit of giggles.
He sighs before turning to Jeno "breakfast sounds good...Jaemin do you wanna join?"

This causes the younger boy to stop laughing, looking in between the two boys. "Really?" He didn't want to be a third wheel but Jaemin very rarely gets to hang out with Renjun anymore.
Jeno and Renjun both nod, small smiles on their lips.
"Okay then then let's go" Jaemin beams, grabbing both of the boys by their hands and pulling them towards the door but Renjun stops him.

"Hang on a second you idiot, we're not even dressed" he mutters and Jeno laughs lightly beside him.

"Well you two go get dressed, I'll wait here" Jaemin crosses his arms over his chest and slides his back down the door, sitting like a patient dog.

"Come on" Renjun takes Jeno's hand and pulls him towards his bedroom.

"Ooooh! IHOP!" Jaemin squeals with excitement before looking over to his roommate.

"Me and Jeno had pancakes last night" Renjun pulls on the sleeve of his Jacket as he spoke, watching Jaemin deflate slightly.

"You ate pancakes with out me? Crazy kids" Jaemin slaps Renjun's arm playfully "just get waffles, come on" he grips onto their hands and pulls a very reluctant Renjun and Jeno along with him.

Once inside the building a wave of warmth hit them along with a strong sugary sent. They pick a booth close to the window, Jeno and Renjun on one side, Jaemin on the other.
After ordering their food an awkward silence seems to settles. Jaemin suddenly feeling very out of place and like he was intruding. He watches as Renjun laughs at something Jeno had said, gently brushing their hands together.

"Soooo..." Jaemin speaks up causing the other two to jump apart, their attention drifting to the other boy. "Are you two like a thing now? Or is it more like...yano a physical thing" he asks with a small wiggle of his brows, watching as Renjun groans and slumps down in his seat.

"We're together" Jeno smiles warmly obviously not minding the question. Renjun however, was silently regretting inviting Jaemin along.

"You'll take care of him right? If you hurt him I'll actually murder you-"

"Jaemin" Renjun hisses, kicking the younger boy under the table. Realisation of what he had just said settles over him and Renjun swore he'd never seen Jaemin look so apologetic before.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, it just slipped out. I didn't even think" He rushes, his eyes on Jeno.

"Don't worry it's fine" Jeno smiles at the guilty looking boy and Jaemin sighs in relief.
Before anything else could be said, their food arrived and all boys started eating. Renjun moans at the taste and Jeno instantly saw the small brow wiggle he received from Jaemin.
He shuffles uncomfortably and focuses his eyes elsewhere.

"Jeno?" Jaemin says, meaning the older boy had to move his eyes back, praying he wasn't going to say something that would make the atmosphere awkward.
"In all seriousness, if you hurt Renjun I'll hurt you"

"Noted".
