I barely slept that night, I didn't feel like doing anything. It was exactly like the last time me and Archie broke up. Arizona, Gabriella and Rose had to pull me out of bed the next morning. We were gonna have breakfast together so the leaders could say 'goodbye' to us. Then the camp was over and people would start to leave to go home. My plane was leaving at 2.40pm and Arizona's at 2.10pm so we left to go to the airport around 1pm. When we got there Arizona and I checked in our bags.
"Well I guess this is it, this is when we say goodbye" I said to Gabriella and Rose. Me and Arizona had to go through security and we would say goodbye after that. But Rose and Gabriella obviously couldn't go through security.
"I don't wanna say goodbye" Rose said and I saw her get tears in her eyes. She wasn't alone, the rest of us were almost crying too. We all hugged and cried, we were just all big messes.
"You all have to promise to text and call, we can talk all the time" Arizona said in between crying. We all nodded at her.
"God I will miss you guys. I came here thinking these two weeks would be the worst ever, until I met you guys. You guys have made these two weeks incredible" I said. We all hugged again before we had to go through security. We waved goodbye to Rose and Gabriella until we couldn't see them anymore. When we had gone through security it was time for me and Arizona to say goodbye. Even though both Rose and Gabriella had ended up being great friends, Arizona meant the most to me. She was the first person to talk to me and she had been there all the time, without judging me.
"You know I love you, Arizona. And you and me will talk every single day, you're not gonna forget me that easily"
"I will never forget you. I mean your Veronica Lodge, who wouldn't love you" I hugged her the tightest I've ever hugged anyone.
"Try to think positive, I'm going to New-York for college too. Maybe we can buy an apartment together?" I smiled at her.
"We have to do that. But now you have to catch you plane so we can talk more about that another day"
"Of course" she started walking away "bye, love you" she said as she disappeared to her gate. I started walking to my gate, tears all over my face. I found a bathroom to clean my face up. As I walked out I bumped into someone. I looked up and there was this guy. He couldn't be much older than me and he was crazy handsome.
"God I'm so sorry, I can be really clumsy sometimes" he said to me.
"Don't worry, I'm okay" I said, smiling at him to show I was telling the truth.
"I'm Jacob, Jacob Benson"
"Hi Jacob, I'm Veronica Lodge" I took his hand and shook it.
"Wait, Veronica Lodge as in Hiram Lodge" I looked up at him. I had no idea how he knew my father, I didn't even know him.
"Sorry, I'm not a stalker"
"That's what all stalkers say"
"Well, I work for Hiram. Do you know him?"
"Know him, no. But I am his daughter"
"Complicated?"
"Yeah, it's a long story"
"When is your plane leaving?"
"In like twenty minutes"
"Where are you going?" I looked up at him again. I hadn't really taken him in yet. First of all, he smelled great. It was sorta a mix between newly showered and some sort of cologne. Then it was his face, he had all these cute dimples. He sorta reminded me of Joey from friends, but with dimples and glasses. His smile was probably the best part, he could light up a whole room with that smile.
"Sorry, I really don't mean to sound like a total psychopath" he said pulling me out of my thoughts.
"You're not, I'm going to Riverdale. And you?"
"Actually also going to Riverdale. I'm Hiram's assistant and he has some business there I have to deal with"
"What's your seat number?"
"27b, yours?"
"27a"
"So I just met you and now we're sitting next to each other. Now it totally seems like I'm stalking you"
"No, this just gives me a reason to get to know you" I said and he smiled that perfect smile at me.
"How old are you by the way? If you really are Hiram's, I mean my dad's, assistant"
"I really am his assistant and I'm eighteen. My dad works for him so he got me this job"
"What about school?"
"I dropped out to be able to work for your dad, the bathroom's are much better at his office" he said causing me to laugh.
"I'm eighteen too. I have one more year left in Riverdale, then I'm moving to New-York to attend college"
"Then maybe when you go to New-York you can like call me?"
"I will. Now, we should probably get on the plane"
"You're probably right"

1 year later:
I stepped out of the taxi. I looked up at the huge apartment building, I couldn't believe I was living in it. The driver started unloading my bags and as soon as he was done I grabbed them and ran upstairs. I heard someone talking on the phone, not sure about what. I opened the already unlocked door.
"Mom I have to hang up, Veronica's here" she hung up the phone and pulled me into a hug.
"Arizona, I've missed you so much"
"I've missed you too. Now, at what time is Betty coming here? I am dying to meet her"
"She isn't coming"
"What!" Betty was supposed to live with me and Arizona in New-York. It was all set and done, until she and Jughead got engaged. I thought they were to young, but they both wanted it and I wanted Betty to be happy. They were still going to New-York for college but they lived almost five hours away. They were both going to Brown since they had one of the best writing programs. Arizona was going to Juilliard, she's an amazing singer. And I was going to NYU, I was gonna major in business just like my dad. We had gotten a really expensive apartment near Bryant Park, but at least it was close to both of our schools. School was starting in just two weeks, but we had decided to move in now. My mom insisted first on me living in a dorm room, but I told her I wanted to stay with Arizona. And finally she had come around. Arizona went to get some food and I was left alone in our apartment. I grabbed my phone and scrolled through my contacts. I found his name and tried calling him, but it went to voicemail. I had heard his voicemail maybe a million during the last year. I had tried calling him over and over again, but he never picked up. I tired calling him again.
"Hey, you've reached Archie. I can't talk right now, I'm probably studying a class at Juilliard cause believe it or not. I work there! Leave a message after the tone, bye" I didn't leave a message, I never had. All I wanted was for him to pick up, I just needed to hear his voice one more time.
