Y/n stumbled through the streets of London, heading to her hideout. She kept her hood up, and made sure nobody saw her. The occasional Blighter landed on the wrong side of her blade, but nothing major. She kept going. Ignoring the pain in her head, she stumbled on. Her vision was blurry, and she was disoriented. She kept going, nevertheless. She passed by a Rook. "Ello Miss, are you ok?" He said, Y/n looked towards his direction, and accidentally hit a pole. She regained her composure. "Y-yes...thanks for asking.." She said, thw Rook tilted his head, stepping closer. "You sure, Miss? You seem to be ill." He said, Y/n nodded, and tried to keep going. But ended up tripping on a loose brick, and fell onto the sidewalk. "Miss!" The Room exclaimed. "Ow..." Y/n muttered and tried to get up quickly so she did not attract attention. The Rook tried to help. "Careful now.." He said, Y/n had a sudden flashback of Sam's death. Fear and hatred built up inside her. She grimaced as she tried to stand. "Here, I'll drive you to your destination." He offered, Y/n refused, and tried to stand again. She lost her balance and fell against him, he helped her to a carriage. "Come now, where were you going?" He said, Y/n told him, and he nodded. "Alright, I'll take you there." He hopped onto the platform, and took up the reigns. He flicked the reigns and the horse started on a quick trot. "Sorry if I'm causing any trouble , Miss...?" He trailed off realizing that he never got her name. "Oh right. My apologies, names Tom, Tom Andrews. How about you?" He said, trying to lighten the mood. "Y-.....just..just call me Wolf.." Y/n said, pain surging through her body evertime she moved. "Pleasure to meet you, Wolf!" He said. "And I, you..." Y/n replied. As they were going, Jacob passed by, on foot. "Oi! Tom! I need your help!" Jacob called, the carriage stopped and Jacob went up next to Tom. "What'ya need, sir?" Tom said, "I need you to help me find an assassin like me, but not me, or Evie or Greenie. Her name is-" Tom cut him off. "I found a young lady that dresses like you assassins do, she told me to call her Wolf. She's in the carriage now." Y/n mentally screamed, the pain and fury was overwhelming. "Really? Maybe that's her..thanks Tom." "No problem, Mr. Frye." He replied, before Y/n knew it, Jacob opened the door and came in, closing the door. He sighed, his eyes softened as he realized how scared she really was. And how much pain she's in. "Love...why did you run away?" He asked softly. "I-i...don't know..." She said, Jacob already knew the answer. "Do you really work for Starrick?" "No! Of c-course not!" She exclaimed, sighing as a wave of pain washed over her. "ow..." "Love, we oughta get that looked at.." Jacob said, he placed his hand on her shoulder. "So..how did you know that Starrick and Thorne have more leads?" He asked, and Y/n avoided eye contact. "I... eavsdropped on Starrick's conversation with Thorne..and..well..I saw that they had a few papers that explained more about the Shroud..." She explained, hoping he would understand. "Ah..I see...well...why didn't you tell us that before you ran?" "Because I was boxed in...a-and..I hadn't slept properly in...at least a day..and..I just lost Sam," She trailed off, her eyes watering. "And then...all that stress...just piled onto everything else..and so I ran. I couldn't do anything else.." She said, a single tear trailing down her cheek. Jacob brushed it away, and brought her into a gentle hug. "Cmon Love, you know that Evie and I wouldn't hurt you. And besides, Greenie's as harmless as a cinnamon roll. Unless he has to fight...then run. But he wouldn't hurt you. In fact, when i woke up this morning to find you gone, I asked him why Evie and him were so sensitive about you knowing information. He said it was rather suspicious. But he didn't think anything of it. Evie on the other hand..thought you betrayed us...so expect a year long lecture." He chuckled, telling Tom to stop, and then they got out, Y/n clung to Jacob for support, and they went into a shop, Jacob bought a few things, and then they went a few blocks down to the hospital. Y/n shuddered, realizing that is were Sam had his last breath. "Alright, I'll get Miss Nightingale to look at that." He knocked on the door, and Miss Nightingale answered a few seconds later. "Mr. Frye, Miss L/n. How can I help?" Jacob chuckled, and then replied. "You tell me, Y/n has a gash on her head and can't walk straight. Can you help?" He said, Miss Nightingale understood. And brought Y/n into a room, leaving Jacob outside the room. He paced back and forth, thinking. "Ok...if I were to tell Evie..she would most likely understand but still be mad...but if I didn't tell her..she'd get mad. So..I think.....I..won't tell her. At least until tonight. Yeah that's a good idea." He said, He kept pacing, minutes going by. About an hour later, Y/n walked out of the room, she was tired looking, and her e/c eyes were dull. "She needs a lot of rest, don't let her free run or anything until a week from now. And have her take this every morning to ease the pain." Miss Nightingale handed Jacob a small bottle of brownish liquid, he opened it to smell it. He forced a smile. "Alright.." He payed Miss Nightingale and then helped Y/n back to the carriage, and then they went back to Y/n's hideout. Jacob saw the condition she lived in. "This is horrible!" He exclaimed, looking around the broken down room, a dirty blanket was her makeshift bed for the last three years, a smaller blanket was Sam's, Y/n collected her items. A book, the blankets, her spare weapons, and...a hawk feather. She didn't have much, and it all fit in a small messenger bag.
"How about you come live on the train?" Jacob said.
