Six Months Later
"You've broken my trust for the last time, Wolf!" A Blighter shouted, throwing his bottle of beer at Y/n, she ducked, startled by his sudden outburst. "Johnathan! This is just a misunderstanding!" Y/n said in a dangerously calm tone. "Like I'd ever trust you again! You blow up a factory of Starrick's, shame on you. You blow up several cargo shipments, and another factory..it's time to die!" Johnathan shrieked, picking up a chair and throwing it at her. She picked up another chair and blocked it, tossing both aside. "Listen, I don't want to fight you!" She said, her tone going from dangerous, to murderous. "But if it must be..." She paused as the look in her eyes switched from passive to insanity. "Then it must be." She whispered, sliding over the table and springing out her hidden blade. She swiped once, her arm was cut by his dagger. She chuckled, before letting her hood fall as she blurred across the bar, drawing her gun and shooting him in the shoulder. "Agh!" Johnathan exclaimed, clutching his shoulder. "I'll make you die slowly if you want. Or, I could let you live with eternal pain." Y/n hissed, flipping up her hood and walking over, she took a throwing knife and stabbed his hand to the table. He winced, letting out a small sound of fear. "You insufferable little bit-" Y/n stabbed him through the throat, he gurgled and blood began to bubble from the now gapping hole in his throat. She smirked sadly. "We could've kept working together, Johnathan. But you wanted to pick a fight with your predator." She chuckled, retracting her blade, pulling the knife from his and and the table. Sideways. "Sayonara, Johnathan." She said as she walked out of the bar. Everyone in the bar remained in a state of pure fear. Nobody moved a muscle, not even the few Rooks who were sitting in the corner of the room. Y/n kept her insanity in check, once she learned to control it. "My goodness...did you see her do that, Kevyn?" A young child said to her comrade. "I did, Kelly...I did...we should warn Mr. and Ms. Frye!" The boy whispered to his friend as they hurried off to the train station where the Train was currently stationed at. "You kids should go home, if you know what's good for you." Y/n said, standing at the end of the alleyway where the kids were running to. "Run!!" The boy yelled, running off into another alley, the girl nodded and ran away. Y/n smirked and scaled the wall, watching them run to the station. The correct route. Y/n smiled. "You can send your warriors, your strongest weapons, but you'll never contain me. It's impossible for you both to know everything I have gone through. Everyone I have lost. Everything I've done, felt or who I've killed. Is it my fault for being this way? Perhaps not. Perhaps...I have... forgotten. But one thing is for sure. I can't change. It's not that I don't want to, I just can't." Y/n said, a bittersweet tone in her voice as it broke through the silence of the ice cold night. She stood there, hearing boot steps behind her. "Love..." It was Jacob. "Why do you follow me if you know I can never turn back?" Y/n said, turning her head. "Because Y/n....I...." He stumbled on his own words. Y/n sighed, walking up to him. She embraced him into a hug. He tensed for a moment, realizing she meant no harm and hugged back. "Jacob...I'm sorry..." Y/n whispered, choking up. "There's an old voice in my head...that's holding me back.." "Well tell her I miss our little talks.." "Soon it will be over...and buried with our past." "We used to play outside when we were young, and full of life and full of love.." Jacob and Y/n kept sadly saying the lyrics of a song. She started to cry into his coat, he hugged her as she wept. "I-im so sorry J-Jacob..." Y/m said between sobs. He hushed her and hugged her tighter. "It's okay Love, it's okay.." He cooed as she continued to cry. He gently rubbed circles into her back, she took a ragged breath while she wept.
They soon went to a pub, he ordered some rum for Y/n and a whiskey for himself. "Jacob...what if I...what if I killed you or Evie...what would happen?" Y/n said, sitting down in one of the booths. "Well....... you'd be number one on our hit list...no matter how much it would hurt we would have to kill you.." Jacob explained, taking a gulp of his whiskey. "Oh.." Y/n responded quietly.
"Jacob?"
"Yes, Love?"
"I'm sorry."
"What do you mean? I told you, it's alright."
"Goodnight, Jacob. I love you."
"What do you........what...do...you mean...?"
Jacob slumped over, passing out. Y/n had mixed some tranquilizer fluid into his drink when he watched a fight break out.
Y/n left the building, leaving a note for Jacob.
------
Jacob,I am so sorry I had to leave. You wouldn't understand. I know, you probably feel really betrayed about now, huh? Well.....let me explain.
When I was in that bloody asylum, they did things to me..I barely even remember my past, you and Evie were my targets, but now....I'm not even sure if I should live or not. After they let me loose...after you killed that man who did this to me...I don't know...I'm still figuring things out. I'm sorry Jacob, but I'll see you soon. Perhaps over drinks again?
Your friend,
~Y/n
