Y/n was cornered by some Templars, she couldn't climb due to her leg being impaled by a rather large dagger. "Stay bloody still, will ya?" One of the Templars said, trying to tie Y/n up. "I'd rather not, to be honest." Y/n said, struggling more. One of the more brute-ish Templars landed a punch right on her jaw, the force of it knocking her out cold. "Good...now let's get going! Dr. Elliotson'll kill us if we don't!" The others muttered their response, and loaded Y/n into a carriage. Two of the Templars her disguised as Rooks, so they drove the carriage.
Jacob sighed, talking to one of his Rooks. "I just don't understand it, Lois! I don't understand why she's scared of bloody everything!" Lois replied with a shrug. "Maybe she's confused about everything, ya never know." Jacob nodded, looking around as he spoke. "She used to trust me and Evie...but now she doesn't trust Evie and barely trusts me! We've known each other for so long...I just don't get it." The carriage Y/n was in drove past, a normal pace as to not draw attention. Jacob didn't know that the carriage had Y/n and a bunch of Templars inside.
Once the carriage arrived at Dr. Elliotson's 'hospital', they unloaded
Y/n and brought her inside, in her dazed state she couldn't move properly. "Ah! You've brought the deadly Wolf everyone's been talking about! Thank you..." Dr. Elliotson said with a smile. "Come along, bring her over here!" He gestured for the Templars to follow, he lead them to a secluded room, it had white tiles in the floor and walls. There was a chair in the corner and a table in the middle, a small painting of a lake hung on the wall across from a small bed in the other corner. The Templars laid Y/n on the bed, and left her with Elliotson. As she began to regain her senses, she looked about, confused. "Ah, my dear, do not be confused or worried! You're in good hands.." He smiled, a vicious look in his eyes. "Who...are you?" Y/n asked, sitting up slightly. "I am Dr. John Elliotson, and I saved you from being killed from those dreadful Assassins!" He lied easily. "But..I'm an Assassin.." He shook his head. "No no..you are a Templar, you were sent on a mission to retrieve some things and were ambushed by the Assassins, and me and the others saved you. You must have hit your head.." Y/n doubted what he said, but couldn't shake the feeling he was right. "Wait... really..?" She asked, quietly. He nodded. "I'll let you get settled in." He left, and locked the door behind him. Y/n stood immediately, and looked at the wall. It harbored not a single window, she sighed and look at the vent. Too small, and looked at the door. Locked from the outside with a bloody deadbolt.Y/n slowly started believing what Elliotson had said, every day that she was in that room she started questioning what side she was on. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Miss L/n, may I come in?" Sarah, one of the nurses, asked through the door. "Sure." Y/n said, and sat down at the table. The deadbolt slid from it's previous position and the door unlocked, Sarah walked in and shut it behind her. "Miss L/n...what do you remember of your past?" It had been weeks, months even since Y/n had seen sunlight. She started to question her sanity. They had changed her...she would turn into a ruthless, psychopath when only a few words were spoken in the correct order. She would stop at nothing until her target was killed. Y/n laughed at Sarah's question, then replied. "Well! I'd say not a bloody thing..all I remember is waking up here that one day.." She had a vague memory of her childhood, Jacob, Evie and herself sparring. "There's this one thing..myself and two children were sparring in an alleyway...I can't make out the details, just the main part if it..it's so...fuzzy...I can't even tell if that was just a dream or not." Sarah nodded, and then helped Y/n up. "Please follow me, Dr. Elliotson wants to see you." Y/n nodded and followed. Once they arrived, Dr. Elliotson stood. "Y/n..." He said gently, "River." Y/n flinched. "Night." Y/n started shaking slightly. "Hunter." She coughed, her eyes shut tight as she doubled over as if in pain. "Prey." Y/n's eyes opened, a completely blank look in them. She straightened, her hood down. She wore a different outfit, it was gray with black trimming. The f/c streaks traced the cuffs of her coat, the same style coat and hood as an assassin. "Wolf, I want you to go and bring me a Rook named Lois. Find him and bring him to me alive." Y/n bowed. "Yes sir." And then sprinted down the hallway, she burst out the doors and began her hunt. She hijacked a carriage and sped across the bridge of the Thames, heading to Whitechapel. She jumped off and landed with a roll. She saw her target walking along the side of the street. She came up from behind and wrapped her arms around his neck, choking him until he passed out. She threw him into an empty carriage, and as she was shutting the door she saw Jacob running up. "Oi!" He yelled angrily, she quickly climbed into the carriage and raced off back to Elliotson. Jacob lost track of her as she sped through winding streets. Once she returned she dragged Lois from the carriage. "Sir, I have returned." She said as she dragged him into Elliotson's office. "Bring him to the back room. He has a special event today." Y/n nodded and did as told. She returned back. "Sunrise." Elliotson said, and Y/n collapsed onto the floor. A few of the workers dragged her back to her room. "This was a success! We now have a ruthless sleeper cell!" Elliotson celebrated, pouring a glass of wine. "I have a new mission for her tonight. She will go after one of the Frye twins.." He laughed, and drank some of his wine.
Jacob tried to find where the mysterious Rook-napper went. "Damnit!" He exclaimed as he paced inside of one of the cars of the train.
"Y/n's been missing for months now, and now I'm losing Rooks!" Evie sighed and closed her book. "She probably went back to Crawley." Jacob shook his head. "She wouldn't do that! She's not one for running back home..." "Jacob. Calm down, she's probably fine." "Probably!? She could be dead!!" Jacob yelled, and then stormed off into his train car and flopped onto the couch. "Where did you go..."Y/n woke up, hearing banging on her door. It was one of the workers. "Miss L/n! Dr. Elliotson said to tell you this." "Get on with it then." Y/n said, annoyed. "River..." Y/n growled, and grabbed her head in her hands. "Night.." She screamed in agony as her head felt like it was on fire. "Hunter..." She fell off the bed in pain, a loud thud could be heard. "Prey...?" Y/n shook, then stood up, the blank expression once more clouded her features. "Wolf, terminate the assassin Jacob Frye." Y/n was at the door in seconds, the man opened the door and backed away, she bolted out and ran towards the train station. The train had already stopped and Jacob walked out. She ran at him, he turned and dodged her blade. He spun around and drew his kukri. Y/n charged forward and slashed at him with her left hidden blade, he blocked with his kukri and slashed with his own hidden blade. The blade grazed Y/n's side, crimson blood started to leak from the cut. She ran up a wall and threw several knives down, he managed to dodge them. Y/n backflipped from the ledge she held on to and landed behind him, she sprung out her hidden blades, and starting trying to stab or slice him. He managed to break off one of the blades with his kukri. She swept his leg from under him, making him fall onto his back. She was about to go in for the kill, but was tackled by Evie instead. Evie pressed a knife to Y/n's throat. "Jacob..are you hurt?" Evie asked, glancing over her shoulder at him. Bad mistake. Y/n kicked Evie off, then stepped back in a fighting stance. Jacob and Evie watched Y/n's every move. Evie saw she was ready for any attack and she quickly threw a throwing knife at Y/n, she caught it and threw it at a single gas lamp off to the side. Without light, everything was pitch black. Y/n threw a smoke bomb and then snuck behind Jacob, he heard her movements and grabbed her hand and threw her onto her back. He held her down as the smoke began to clear. Evie brought a small oil lamp over for light. "It wasn't very smart of you to attack like that.." Jacob said, quietly. Y/n didn't respond, instead she just stared ahead at his features. The blood from the cut had made a small pool. "If you don't answer it's only gonna get worse for you." Jacob said, sighing. She tried to shove him off, her remaining hidden blade sprung out, since Jacob was holding her arms down, it did no use.
"Who are you?" Jacob asked, getting rather annoyed by now. Y/n didn't respond, instead she pretended to pass out. She slowed her breathing, her heart rate slowing as well, she went completely limp. Jacob was confused at the sudden relaxation of the opponents body. As he let go for a moment, she sprung up and pushed him off, she then pulled out duel pistols and shot at both of them. The two hid behind some columns. Y/n stood there for a moment, then put away the pistols and slowly walked forward towards the columns. Jacob spun from the shelter of the column and fired a single tranquilizer at her. She dodged it easily, and leapt forward, about to stab him with the blade. He easily blocked and sliced at her side, she fall onto the hard floor with a thud, and then stood up and went into a fighting stance once more. "Man...they won't just bloody stop!" Jacob said, and then he drew his kukri again. Evie joined in, drawing her kukri as well. They watched as Y/n slowly lost composure and strength. The red liquid soaking her cloak and clothing. Blood also came from her mouth, a small line of it slowly trickled down. She tried to stay awake, to fight more...but to no avail, she fell over onto her side and started losing consciousness. Her vision slowly faded. "Evie..we can't let them die..they could be important!" Jacob said, and rushed forward. The darkness soon consumed everything, as Y/n passed out from exhaustion, blood loss and from psychological fatigue from her days locked in a room.
Jacob carried Y/n over to a bench, and started applying pressure to the main wound. Evie sighed, and checked the attacker's vitals. "They attacked us and now we have to help them...huh.." Evie whispered, annoyed. Hours passed, and Y/n woke up. She flinched when she saw Jacob and Evie standing nearby. She had been told that she was a Templar for so long, she forgot. "Ah good...you're awake." Jacob said, and tried to walk forward. Y/n bolted off the bench, despite the dizziness and pain that overwhelmed her. "Catch them!" Evie yelled as they both chased after her.
