Jacob lead Y/n towards the nearest station, keeping a sharp eye out for his sister. He knew Y/n was dangerous and could probably kill him...but that's what attracted him. The thrill and risk, just like a gamble; except this time the bet is on his life. His mind was clouded with thoughts and ideas. He considered telling Evie; only to fall into another mental paradox since he knew Evie would never allow it. Maybe he could keep it secret for as long possible. A small tug pulled him from his thoughts when Y/n stopped in her tracks, looking around frantically.
"Are you alright, Love?" Jacob asked in a low tone, doing his best to not alarm the female before him. Y/n didn't respond, and instead stumbled backwards a couple paces as she lost her balance.
And then the all-too-familiar white and blue smoke surrounded her form and guided her from the Animus. Awaking with a start, Y/n gazed around, her e/c eyes taking in ever single detail of her surroundings. She was still in the warehouse, and Shaun and Rebecca were at their computers. Ignoring the buzzing in her head, she shifted into a sitting position, looking around again. Before long, Y/n was standing and stretched, raising her arms up and yawning.
Apparently the two hacker-assassins didn't notice she was out of the Animus...so they spun around in a start, instinctively reaching for things to defend themselves. "...You're awake?" Rebecca asked, seemingly surprised. Recoiling nervously, Y/n studied their body language, noting their stiff complexion and strange demeanor...and then it hit her like a ton of bricks.
They're scared of me.
Eyeing the two cautiously, the Wolf wandered away, keeping her gaze on them until far enough away where they couldn't do anything. Stomach grumbling, Y/n searched around for food. Avoiding her allies best she could, she finally spotted a small can of soup. After making a quick check for expiration dates and in case she was followed, Y/n pulled the tab on the lid, peeling it off. The faint scent of cold soup filled her nostrils, causing her stomach to grumble again. Without hesitation, she quickly ate it, setting the can down and wiping off her face with her left sleeve. She froze when she saw a small box of anesthetics and a variety of surgical/medical drugs (morphine, numbing agents, paralytic stuff, etc.) nearby, a small box of syringes next to it. Now would be the perfect chance to leave...to escape everything!
Hide. A small voice rang in her head, causing her to glance around again for the source of the voice. "Hide? Hide where?" Y/n whisper-yelled, trying to not draw attention to herself. The last thing she wanted was to be surrounded and drugged again. But the voice did not repeat or even show up again. Scanning the room, Y/n found two places to hide; in a crate and under a loose floorboard. She preferred the latter.
Again frozen to the spot, Y/n mentally fought three sides of herself...
Run while you still can! Hide away!
No, we must stay! It's safest here.
Go back into the Animus...they'll leave you alone!
She failed to notice a slightly concerned Rebecca at the doorway, who had been watching Y/n's eyes dart everywhere in search of an escape or hiding place. "Y/n? Are you-" Her voice failed as Y/n made eye contact...her eyes were filled with panic and anxiety, like a cornered animal. "S-Stay there...don't come a-any closer!" Y/n shouted, forgetting any and all chill. Taken aback, Rebecca tried to console the frenzied broken Assassin. "Easy! Easy Y/n, I wasn't going to...just calm down." This time, the Wolf broke through. "JUST STAY AWAY!" She shouted again and looked yearningly at a window. She wanted to run away...even after her legs failed she would find a way to keep moving.
"Beccs, what's going-...on..?" Shaun asked, hearing the commotion and checking it out. He quickly changed his posture and demeanor to appear less fearsome, hoping to calm down Y/n.
Except all it did was make things worse.
And then Y/n was quiet, cool and reserved...She walked past the other two, spooking them a little when she brushed by. She walked right to an open window...peering out before closing it. Shaun then noticed his pistol was gone from its holster...when he looked up at Y/n after hearing the familiar click of it preparing to fire...he froze.
Y/n had the barrel pointed right at her temple, staring at the ground with remorse and regret, she instead turned the barrel to Shaun and Rebecca....and continued to stare at the grimy floor.
Th air was chilled...a full moon lit up the night with a comforting hue. An owl was hooting somewhere outside, faintly breaking the silence.
"Have you ever been chased for so long...that you just give up? You finally give in...give out...let the exhaustion kick in..." Rebecca glanced at Shaun, then back to Y/n, a look of fear upon her face. "And then been bounced between virtualization and reality so many times...you can't tell which one is real or not?"
"Y/n, you have to listen to me; lower the gun, please...we can work this out without -"
"Violence?"
After quite some convincing and arguements -- and almost suicide and homocide -- Y/n finally gave in, saying she'll cooperate...if she can go free for two hours every day. They agreed and soon the blue and white mist enveloped her form again..

Jacob chuckled as they finally reached the Train, watching Y/n flop onto his bed immediately. She yawned, stretched and snuggled into the sheets, only shifting when he joined her amidst the covers. "Remember, tomorrow you have to escape through the window before nine o'clock, Evie comes at nine thirty and your tracks will be long gone before then...okay?" Jacob asked, earning a small grunt of approval as he wrapped his arms around the female.
"Goodnight, My little terror." He whispered, fading off with her soon after.

Who would've thought a deadly, mentally unstable assassin and a charismatic ganglord would fall in love?
