Seven months later...

Y/n awoke in an apartment of some sort, she glanced around before sitting up. "What...." She said as she saw Shaun look over at her. "Oh nothing, just curious as to why your files say 'mentally unstable'. You seem fine." He said, taking a sip of his coffee. "Since when did you care?" Y/n said, tilting her head slightly. "Since you started babbling about the Frye twins and such." Y/n growled, throwing a book at him. "Ow!" Shaun said, Y/n smirked, then stood from the bed and made herself a cup of coffee. "Where's Rebecca?" Y/m asked, taking a gulp of her coffee. "Dunno, she should be back at noon though." He said, nodding towards the clock. "Well...I'm gonna go get some bagels." Y/n said, walking out the door. She walked down the hall and entered the elevator. There were four other people in it. "Hello Miss, what floor?" One of the men said. "Uh...base floor, please." He nodded, and pressed the button for the base floor. As the doors began to shut, Y/n noticed they all went from relaxed and calm, to uneasy and nervous. "You shouldn't have boarded this elevator..." A man said, dressed in....a Blighter outfit... "Sir, please leave me be." She said, the others simply looked at her in confusion. The Blighter tapped her shoulder, then shoved her into the wall. She groaned in pain, then sprung out her blade in an attempt to stab the Blighter. She fought with the hallucination, accidentally slashing one of the passengers on the arm, and the wallpaper tearing easily under the sharp blade. The others were terrified, huddling up in the corner. Finally, the doors opened, and Y/n stepped out. The four passengers were trembling as they bolted out and away. A security guard walked up to Y/n. "ID?" He asked, his hand out. "Yeah, it's right.....here." She said, running past him and out of the building. She quickly opened a car door and sat down, closing the door and locking it. She then started the car and drove off, heading to l/g/s. (Local grocery store)

As she parked, she saw Jacob crouched at the corner of the roof. He had his hat on as he watched her every move. She sighed, ignoring the hallucination and walking into the store to get some bagels.

After she bought the bagels and drove back to the apartment complex, she decided to scale the wall instead of going through the entrance. She climbed all the way to the fifth floor, hopping onto the balcony and entering, earning a startled Shaun and Rebecca. "Christ, Y/n! Use the bloody door!" Shaun scolded. "Shaun!" Rebecca scolded him. The two began to argue as Y/n out the bagels away, eating one in the process. "Anyways...Y/n, I know how you feel about the Animus..." Rebecca started. "Let me guess, you somehow built your own and want me to go into it?" Y/n asked, Rebecca nodded, surprised by the guess. "Yeah, so could you just lay down there?" She pointed at the Animus. "If I get an anxiety attack...I am never doing this again." Y/n said, laying down. Before she knew it, she was back in London. The bustling crowds, the sound of the horses walking or running, the sound of boots running towards her....

Y/n ducked as a Blighter tried to slice her neck. "Oh come on!" She yelled, easily killing the Blighter. "Fuck off!" She screamed at a few of his comrades who were about to try to help him. She then started towards the train station to meet her friend, Helen, for more gear. As she walked through crowds, she saw Jacob, talking to a Rook. She walked over and took his wallet as she walked passed. He didn't notice until he was about to pay the Rook. Y/n smirked as she walked into an alley, and into some courtyard. "Where's....oh come on!" Jacob yelled, Y/n laughed and peeked around the corner...only to see Jacob running over in her direction. She cussed under her breath as her smirk faded. She then turned to run, she was a split second too late. Jacob had caught her by the arm. "Y/n...why." "Why what?" "Why did you take my wallet?" "What wallet?" "This wallet." He took the wallet from her hand, shoving it into his coat. "Where have you been? Evie was getting worried." He said, amused at the thought of Evie getting mad again. "I was doing stuff that you don't need to worry about." Jacob chuckled, embracing her in a hug. "Jacob!" She said, laughing softly. "But Yyy///nnn!" He whined as he dragged her towards the Train. "How do you always know where it is?" Y/n asked. "A map." He replied, shrugging. "Ok.." she replied, and regained her footing as she walked with him.

Y/n noticed the clouds moving, then broke into a run, she dragged Jacob along, heading to Waterloo. "Y/n! The Train is at the Whitechapel station!" Y/n nodded, and kept going to Waterloo. "Y/n!" Jacob exclaimed.

Rebecca and Shaun argued as Y/n was in the Animus.

Jacob continued to follow Y/n as they greeted Helen and Y/n received a brand new Eagle's Splendor kukri. "Thanks again, Helen. Oh and here..." Y/n said, giving her friend a pack of voltaic bombs. Helen smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Wolf." Y/n smirked and walked off, following Jacob to the Train. "Come along, little pupper!" Jacob said happily, Y/n followed along, a genuine smile across her face.

Y/n's vision seemed to glitch out, as Rebecca's voice echoed through her mind. "Hey, Y/n, it's getting pretty bad in there... we're going to take you out. Hold tight..." Y/n sighed, then yelled out. "No!! No no no! Please don't...please don't .." Rebecca sighed and then answered. "Sorry, but if we don't, those hallucinations will continue and be worse." As she explained, Y/n started to mutter hardcore sailor-worthy words. "Your own risk, Y/n." After a moment, Y/n decided to give in. "Let me finish this memory, then pull me out." Y/n said, waiting for Rebecca to respond. "I might be able to manipulate a few things..." A few clicks and beeps could be heard as she trailed off. "Aaand...done. Go ahead and finish." Rebecca said, the memory continued normally, Jacob didn't even respond or react to her talking with Rebecca. As Jacob lead her to the Train, he helped her up as Evie walked through, seeing Y/n. "Oh, Y/n, I suppose you're in good health considering your appearance here."
Y/n shrugged. "Oh yeah, I'm fine. But I can still flick over to my 'other' side....with the right words...but apart from that...I'm doing better. So how bout you?" Evie smiled softly, offering some tea to her brother and Y/n. "I've been fairing well." After half an hour of them catching up, Y/n stood to leave, saying her farewells and leaving the Train. As she walked away, her vision began to blur and go dark.

She jolted up with a start, breathing heavily as everything around her glowed bluish white, she started to freak out, her anxiety growing larger. Rebecca and Shaun turned from their computers, they tried to calm her down, only to get a couple of bruises. Y/n then fell off the platform, landing on her back with a thud, getting the air knocked out. The other two restrained her from getting up.
"Y/n! Y/n, focus! Cmon!" Rebecca said, Shaun joined too. "Stop struggling! You're not even in the bloody Animus!"

She kept fighting, until the bluish white light faded and the whispers stopped. She finally settled, still breathing heavily.

The whispers may have faded, but the echoes of her prey still echoed within her mind.

"Sayonara, my friend."

A voice echoed through Y/n's head, it was familiar...but she could not place the name.

"Perhaps we could go whale hunting again, sometime?"

The voice was different now, a strong Irish accent...
