Y/n awoke from the Animus, noticing there wasn't any blue-ish white mist. "What's going on?" Shaun and Rebecca seemed rushed and...nervous...now that Y/n was with them in reality. "We've gotta go! Grab that box and follow me!" Rebecca yelled as Shaun threw a few cables and computer stuff haphazardly into a container. Y/n looked to where Rebecca was pointing. A small black box with a gold Assassin symbol stamped on the top. No larger than a tuna can, the box held a necklace with a chunk of some smoky-grey-translucent crystal with what looked like a plant woken inside. Y/n had seen it before, and quickly scooped it up in her hand.
This simple necklace was a small Piece of Eden, after some digging, Shaun had figured out it had the ability to basically hide the wearer in plain sight. Not quite invisibility, but more it dampened their notoriety and obscured them from searching gazes.
Basically: important box, keep safe, etc. etc...
"Are you coming or what?" Beccs called, snapping Y/n out of her thoughtful trance. Furrowing her brows slightly, Y/n retorted. "What, are there guards or something? I don't see the big deal!" Shaun, having finished up packing the final box, nudged her forward. "Worse, Abstergo found us. Now get your arse out there!!" Y/n growled at Shaun, tucking the box into her coat and followed Rebecca out, keeping a close eye on every single person they saw.
That was until somebody grabbed her wrist. "Oi, Miss, you can't go out the-" Y/n twisted around, landing a solid punch into the man's jaw and sending him reeling backwards. She took her chance, racing away to what she recognized as the same van the other two Assassins caught her with a while back. Once they were all in, they drove off, evading the Abstego agents and eventually driving somewhere in the middle of a mountainous forest. There was an abandoned warehouse, with vines of ivy climbing up the sides and trees that essentially hid it from view.
"This is it." Rebecca said, glancing back at Y/n from the front passenger seat. Y/n craned her neck to properly see out the window, before opening the back of the van and hopping out. Almost immediately, the Wolf appeared a few steps ahead of her, as if guiding her inside...
Then the Wolf turned around to face her, now secluded by one of the rooms of the warehouse. Y/n flinched as the Wolf flickered forms, turning into Rebecca, then a female Blighter, then Rebecca again...
"What the...Shit..." Y/n muttered, rubbing her eyes in hopes of the hallucinations vanishing...they only persisted, causing Y/n to involuntarily step back when the Wolf/Blighter/Rebecca walked up to Y/n, saying something that sounded like "Leave its not safe!-.. give me the relic!- are you okay, Y/n?" Stumbling backward, Y/n picked up a nearby plastic milk crate and threw it at the transformating thing, only for it to sidestep and call for someone. Y/n's hearing was starting to get fuzzy with static and her ears ringing loudly.
All her senses (except hearing) sharpened as her pupils shrunk, her breathing and heart rate increased as she started to attack the morphing hallucination. Every move was muscle memory, not her own decision. To her, threat equals attack. Shaun came running into the room upon Rebecca shouting for help, only to find Y/n standing over an unconscious Rebecca and a wild look in Y/n's eyes, she turned on her heel, facing Shaun. He was actually kind of scared, was Rebecca okay? What was going on?? "Y/n-" He was quickly interrupted by a broken wooden chair flying towards him. He narrowly dodged it, the object clipping his shoulder, causing it to bleed. "Y/n, calm down!" Y/n did not react, she only sized him up before slipping on some bladed brass knuckles. Half inch blades glimmered in the sunlight pouring through a grimy window behind her. She smirked, her expression changed from blank to amusement, with a small hint of 'I'm gonna kill this guy' mixed in.
