Y/n sat in a comforting silence while embraced by the rather excited and happy Jacob Frye.
"Tell you what; I'll take you to the park, and we'll just catch up and maybe dinner or a drink if you're up for it?" Jacob said, testing the waters to see exactly what kind of mood she was in. "...S-Sure...." Y/n said, stuttering slightly as she spoke. The Wolf was feeling regret and nostalgia, with a strong twinge of...attraction....to the gang lord before her. I almost killed him multiple times and now we're friends like nothing happened..? Huh. Y/n thought, tensing when she felt Jacob snake an arm around her waist. "Easy, Love," Jacob started, looking at her with concern and caution. "I can let go if you're uncomfortable..." Y/n shook her head. "No, no, it's okay...It just startled me." With a nod, Jacob began walking towards a nearby park, Y/n held close at his side. There wasn't many people out, to Y/n's surprise, as there should have been at this time of day. It was nearly half-past one in the afternoon. The street should've been bustling with civilians. "Jacob....?" Y/n asked, looking up at the male Assassin by her side. He glanced at her, curiosity filling his hazel eyes. "Yes, my Love?" Y/n looked around, watching for threats, before responding. "Why aren't there as many people today? Did something happen?" Jacob smirked, gesturing towards a Rook standing at the entrance to a side road, simply standing guard. "I had my Rooks section off this area, knowing the right people can do extraordinary things, you know." Jacob said, a business-like tone lacing his words. Y/n shrugged, dismissing her worry.
Once the pair of Assassins entered the park, Y/n's eyes landed on a small note, sealed shut with wax. Jacob released her when she gently tugged away, allowing Y/n to jog over and pick up the note. Upon closer inspection, the wax was imprinted by a signet of a small bird...it seemed to be a songbird of some sort. The minute it left the ground, Rebecca's voice echoed from around her. "That's another glitch, Y/n, it's not part of this memory. Let alone, this ancestor. Just ignore it." Y/n rolled her eyes, and continued to open it. Only, her vision went fuzzy and distorted. "Drop it! If you engage with the glitches they'll break the simulation!" Y/n wasted no time in dropping the note. As quickly as it had appeared, her vision cleared and the distortion ceased. When Y/n looked back at Jacob, he was patiently waiting for her, a small smile upon his face. The Wolf quickly broke into a run to rejoin Jacob. "Find anything interesting?" She quickly shook her head, causing Jacob to softly laugh at her reaction, before offering his arm. "Shall we continue then?"
Jacob and Y/n were now standing before a fountain, the crystal clear water pouring from it glittered in the afternoon sun. Y/n thought she saw her own reflection in the water instead of the Wolf. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to clear it away. Only to be met with Jacob gently lifting her head with his hand. "Y/n, I want to tell you something.." He took Y/n's silence as permission to continue. "I think...I think we can work through this...Y/n, I want you to be with me. Doesn't matter if you're the fearsome Wolf or just Y/n L/n, cause to me, you're N/n.." He paused, seemingly asking if he could continue. She nodded, and he continued. "And...well, I love you...." Jacob Tried to will his face to stop turning red as he spoke, but each word simply made it more and more flustered. "So..Y/n L/n, will you be my significant other, my partner in crime, my little terror of the night? So long as Evie doesn't find out?" He wanted to keep this a secret, at least until she was more...tame, for lack of a better term.
The Wolf was taken aback by his words. But she nodded her head nonetheless. "Yes....I will.."
He grinned, embracing her in a loving hug.
"But...what happens if I lash out?" Jacob thought for a moment, before responding. "Then we'll figure something out. If anything, I'll just put you into an abandoned factory until you calm down." He joked, before adding "Joking! Joking!" When she had given him a warning look.
