(Shannon's POV)

'Back to the magic bus ladies.' Jared joked, which made Missi and Brittany groan.

'Thankfully I'll be home soon.' Missi said.

'We won't be home that soon.' I said.

'Au contraire. Soon I will have my grandbabies in my arms. That's home too.' She said excitedly.

'I guess I forgot about that.' I said.

'I can hardly wait.' She said.

'What will Brittany do without you?' Jared asked snidely.

'Au contraire to you Jared, what will you do without me?' Brittany snickered.

'I take that to mean you're going along?' He asked.

'Hell yes. Given a choice between spending time with Missi and her family or sleeping in a moving tomb, what would you pick Jared?' She asked.

'Won't you miss me?' He asked.

'I'm sure I will, but it isn't like we've been able to spend much time together lately. You two will be fine on your own.' She said.

'Let's roll!' Jared shouted angrily to the bus drivers and walked ahead of us.

'Uh oh.' Missi said.

'He'll live.' Brittany said rolling her eyes.

'Yeah, but obviously those of us left behind will pay.' I said.

'He needs to grow up.' Brittany said before she boarded the bus and breezed past him.

'Brrr, it's a little cold in here.' I said to Jared as I went by and his eyes bore a quick hole in my skull.

Missi kept her head down and kept going.

'It's them, not us for a change.' I whispered to Missi as I sat down beside her.

'I heard that Shannon.' Brittany said.

'Well it's the truth.' I said.

'The day's still young.' She said.

'When are you leaving?' I asked Missi.

'The day after tomorrow.'

'Are you flying?'

'No, we're gonna drive there with Freddie and Alphonse when we get to Philly, then meet up with you in Ohio.'

'Oh, I thought maybe Pittsburgh.'

'What's the matter Shannon? You suddenly look a little lost. Are you gonna live?' Brittany joked.

I could tell Missi was amused by Brittany's jabs, she was biting her lip to keep from smiling and looking out the window.

'I've toured quite a bit. I'll be fine.' I said and joined Jared and the tech guys up front.

(Missi's POV)

'I thought you would've told Jared you were going with me.' I said.

'I just never thought about it when he was around. I wasn't keeping it from him, no big deal.' Brittany said.

'Maybe it's not so much you're going with me, but that you didn't tell him sooner.'

'I see that quite clearly now. His control issues aren't making me very happy lately. If he wants a fembot he should just go find one.'

'Maybe he doesn't know how to be any other way.'

'Well he might want to at least try a little give and take if he wants me around. I mean it's cute sometimes, but I'm starting to think it's the only way he gets his rocks off.'
