(Missi's POV)
'Do you think there will ever be a time I show up without issues?' I joked as Chelsea opened her door.
'What fun would that be?' She teased and gave me a big hug as I entered. 'You must have gotten an early start.'
'Less traffic.'
'Is that really why?'
'No. I couldn't sleep and thought it would be easier not saying goodbye.'
'I don't think there will be any goodbye like you're so convinced will happen, so save that thought for another day. You're here to clear your mind and I have the day planned. First we're going to the buffet, followed by a little retail therapy, then some relaxing time by the pool. Maybe we can get you rocking that Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer look that happens when you've been in the sun a bit too long.'
'You've really missed making fun of me, haven't you?' I chuckled.
'Yes my sweet. No visit would be complete without your pointy chin making an appearance too, but we'll save that for later. I don't want to make you angry so it will appear, not when we're about to go have fun.' She said grinning.
'You sure are full of it today. Have you had too many cups of that special Leto blend you like so much or what?'
'I'll never tell.'
'Despite all the negativity rolling around in your head, did you make last night enjoyable?' Chelsea asked between bites of shrimp.
'One word doesn't begin to sum it up.' I said reflectively and pushed my plate away.
'Okay, did you do anything special?' She asked pushing my plate back.
'I bought tons of candles and rose petals, a new bath oil, new lingerie and just let things happen.' I said playing with the potatoes on my plate.
'And...'
'It was majestic.'
'Guess ya found that one word after all.' She snickered.
'And you kept it together.'
'Yes'
'Good, cause I'll say it a hundred times if I have to. He's not going to leave you!'
'I hope you're right.'
'You're making my great wise one status a little shaky with all that enthusiasm Missi. Repeat after me...he's not going to leave me and make me believe it.'
'He's not going to leave me.' I said as convincingly as I could.
'We'll have to work on that. We're talking LA, and one kiss is nothing in the grand scheme of things here. You kissed that Chester guy at a club on New Years. Shannon didn't leave you then. Hell, you were more upset about it than he was.'
'His name was Chet, not Chester.'
'That's not the point.' She said glaring over her glasses in annoyance.
'You're right.'
'Of course I am!'
'Honestly Chels, are you on a new medication or something? Your Southern genteel has worn off a little.' I snickered.
'Dang, if it's that obvious then I may need a dosage reduction.'
'Yeah, you might wanna get that checked.' I snickered.
