(Missi's POV)

'After all that happened tonight, I still can't get the picture of you in front of the mirror out of my head.' Shannon whispered as we slow danced by the pool.

'Maybe that has something to do with how you got your nickname.' I teased.

'You could be right.' He said wiggling his eyebrows. 'I will have you tonight no matter what.'

'Snow, sleet, rain or hail won't deter you?'

'No, I'm gonna make your earth quake.' He said grinning devilishly and I chuckled.

'Are you two behaving over here?' Jared asked as he and his mother danced beside us.

'Absolutely' Shannon replied grinning.

'Mom and Irene are leaving soon. How about we switch up so Mom can have a dance with you before she leaves?' Jared said.

'Don't mind if I do bro.' Shannon replied winking devilishly at Jared before they took off.

Mrs. Leto and I were left standing there as Shannon and Jared started dancing cheek-to-cheek. The more attention their antics received the more outrageously they performed.

'I'm so very proud of them at moments like these.' She joked.

'That's one of the things that endears them to people though. It's an admirable quality.' I added.

'Yes, you're right. Maybe we should join in then.' She said and held out her hand.

'Let's' I chuckled.

The groom's mother dancing with the bride-to-be somehow trumped the men's performance even though we weren't nearly as comical as they were. It did bring them back around though.

'Mom, may I have this dance?' Shannon asked politely.

'If you have time now.' She joked, and he took her hand and they started dancing.

'That leaves you and I.' Jared said holding out his hand.

'That was a lovely toast. Thank you.'

'All in a day's work.' He chuckled. 'It's all true you know.'

'You mean how stubborn we are?'

'No, how much he loves you.'

'I think I know.'

'You better.' He replied and dipped me.

'Okay, okay. I get it.' I said, and he pulled me back up.

'So what exactly is your relationship with Brittany?'

'You don't beat around the bush Missi.' He chuckled.

'You don't have to answer Jared. I'm just curious.'

'I don't really know exactly. Of course there's an attraction. We're totally different, yet somehow the same. I'm trying not to overthink it.'

'Then just ride the wave Jared. That's what someone advised me when I was overthinking being with Shannon. The more I let go the better it was. Maybe that's why they call it falling in love. And there doesn't always have to be any rhyme or reason.'

'How crazy is this? You advising me now.'

'Do you really believe you're above a little kindhearted advice every now and then?'
