(Sorry for the long lapse between chapters. Life has been a total poo show lately that included a computer virus. A full moon and Mercury retrograde didn't help much either, lol. I think I 'killed' the virus, so stay tuned. As always, thanks for reading. <3 )
(Missi's POV)
'You look amazing. I'm so happy for you!' Chelsea gushed as I turned around for final approval from my doting maid of honor.
'Thanks, Chels. I'll be happier once this is over with though.' I replied as we hugged.
'You'll be fine. Just remember to breathe.' She said.
'I'll certainly try.'
'Now all we need is a call from Nanette saying they're ready for us.'
'The sooner the better.' I said taking a deep breath. 'Oh no. I don't think I turned my phone on today.' I said picking it up off the dresser.
My phone vibrated when I turned it on with messages from Shannon during different intervals throughout the day, and the last two sounded a bit desperate.
'I love u.'
'I miss u.'
'I need 2 c u.'
'Baby I really wanna c u. I'm spazzing.'
'Meet me 4 a few moments at least...please princess.'
'Uh oh.' I said.
'What's wrong?' Chelsea asked.
'Shannon was tripping earlier and he probably thinks I was ignoring him. What if he left?'
'I very much doubt he'd leave. I'm sure he's fine by now.' She said, and her phone rang loudly.
Nanette's voice carried across the room as she and Chelsea spoke, and I hurriedly started typing a text to Shannon.
'Put your phone down. It's time.' Chelsea said.
'Just let me finish this sentence.'
'NO, you'll see him shortly.' She said swiping my phone away from my tapping fingers.
(Shannon's POV)
My phone vibrated when Jared and I were getting ready to take our places. The text from Missi was unnerving, since all it said was 'I'm sorry, I.'
'She's not coming.' I whispered to Jared as I tugged on his arm.
'What are you talking about? Of course she's coming Shannon. You really need to calm down.' He said.
'Then why did she just text me that she's sorry?'
'I don't know. Quit freaking out and follow me to your final destination.' He said eerily.
'Calm down.' Mom mouthed to me as Jared and I took our places, and I nodded and plastered a smile on my face.
By the time the music started, my heart was beating rapidly and my hands were sweating profusely. Brittany was first down the aisle, flashing me an amused grin on her way by as if she could tell I was having trouble keeping calm. She winked at Jared before taking her place and Chelsea wasn't far behind. If it hadn't been for Chels, Missi and I might never have met. We smiled at each other as if we were both having the same thought.
I wasn't the only one in awe as I looked past Chelsea and saw my beautiful bride. I was stunned by how elegant she looked, and quite proud that she would soon be my wife. Her confidence shone through as well and I was happy that Calvin helped make that possible.
