(Shannon's POV)
It was 4 in the morning as Missi and I made our way to Chelsea's room. I still didn't see the point of a stupid tradition that separated the bride and groom before the wedding. If the purpose was time to reflect, that was the last thing I needed. I didn't want to spend time alone in my head and feel even more antsy. I was starting to imagine there was a little devil on my shoulder telling me to run while I could.
I pulled Missi out in the hallway after putting her luggage in Chelsea's room. She started snickering as we stood there hugging each other tightly.
'We act like we're going before a firing squad today instead of getting married.'
'It does kinda feel like that.'
'You always know the right thing to say.' She said grinning.
'That's why you love me.'
'Just one of many reasons.'
'Give me a kiss that will tide me over until I see you again.' I said lifting her chin.
She put her hands on my face and kissed me lightly at first, intensifying it to such an extent that I thought she was trying to suck my tonsils out.
'Mmm...I know where I'd like to feel that. I think you left something in the room. We should go check.' I said pulling on her arm.
'What happened to your commitment to a brief period of celibacy?'
'I'm over it and someone else appears to be doing the thinking.' I said pressing her hand against my hardon.
'You'll need to reign him in. Be strong.' She said giving me a quick grope.
'A tease to the very end.' I said putting my hand over hers to keep it there as we kissed again.
'Yes mother. I'll be there in a minute.' Missi snickered as we heard Chelsea clear her throat from inside the room.
'I guess I'll be seeing you later then.' I said leaning my forehead against hers.
'It's a date.' She said and kissed me tenderly.
I looked back as I walked away, and she was standing in the doorway watching me leave. 'I love you.' I mouthed to her and she blew me a kiss.
I took things in hand when I got back to the room, haunted by the thought of having an uncomfortable bulge during the ceremony. It was an uncertainty I wanted to avoid. I set my alarm afterward and went back to sleep.

'What?' I yelled, startled awake by someone beating on the door.
'Hey Romeo, let's go have breakfast!' Calvin yelled.
'Give me a sec.' I said as I rubbed my face and pulled on a pair of sweatpants.
'Jesus man, you scared me. I thought maybe I overslept and didn't show up.' I said.
'No dude. Relax, you have plenty of time.' He chuckled and slapped me on the back.
'Where's Calista?'
'She wanted to sleep in. I'll bring something back for her.'
'Make yourself at home while I grab a quick shower.'
'Missi seems like a great lady. I think you made a good choice.' Calvin said as we were eating breakfast.
'Yeah, she is.'
'Does she crack the whip at home? I don't mean to pry, I'm just trying to get a sense for the one who got you to take this step.'
