(Shannon's POV)

The reception was very enjoyable. It was the right mix of people and gave us time for personal interaction with our guests. It was like a great party that didn't hinge on a Who's Who guest list, extracurricular activities or substances.

Missi had chosen most of the music beforehand and she danced quite a bit over the course of the evening. She didn't have much to drink, but she was drunk on love. When Hypnotized started playing, I watched as her eyes darted around the room until she spotted me. I was summoned by the look on her face, and I grinned as I swaggered over to my bride. She beamed intensely as we started dancing.

Missi didn't share my amusement when I removed her garter. I ran my hand the whole way up her leg on the first try, bypassing the garter on purpose. I figured I'd probably hear about it later considering the way she reacted when the male population voiced their enthusiastic approval. Nanette's husband happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when I flung the garter and it ended up landing on him. Nanette wasn't as amused as everyone else and ushered him out of the room quickly.

Brittany caught Missi's bouquet and Jared's reaction was comical. Initially he looked shocked, but it looked more like fright when the teasing started. He wasn't quick with the comebacks like he normally was either. He and Brittany disappeared briefly afterward, but I knew all was well when I saw them in their own little world dancing cheek to cheek.

One of the guest attendants approached us with a look of concern. Security had accidentally let someone in the lobby that wasn't a guest. He was a reporter from a local news station and begged the attendant to ask if I'd speak with him since he said he'd interviewed Jared and I years back. Unbeknownst to us, a small group of people had formed not long after the outdoor photo session. Thankfully security was posted at the barriers surrounding the hotel.

Jared let it up to me to decide if I wanted to make the reveal. I figured it was as good a time as any since there really wasn't any reason not to have the news out in the open. It would take care of making any announcement later, and a small-town reporter with not much of a crowd would be easy to deal with. I also wanted to show off my bride a little. I discussed it with Missi and she agreed.

The reporter was a chill guy and had a photographer outside. We met them briefly on the sidewalk leading up to the inn so the crowd could get a glimpse as well.

'Isn't she beautiful?' I called out to the crowd as I put my arm around Missi. They were a respectable crowd, cheering and clapping and no unkind remarks were made.

'We'd be very grateful to you if you'd be kind enough to respect our privacy now. I hope to see some of you on tour.' I said waving as we went back inside.

'That wasn't so bad, was it?' I asked Missi.

'No, I definitely didn't mind being photographed with you in public for a change.' She replied grinning.

The rustling sound of Missi's dress as we walked down the hallway to our room had me itching to get under it. As Missi had so eloquently expressed during her vows, her body and soul were mine and I was going to attempt to touch both. I squeezed her hand gently and she smiled at me like she knew what was going through my mind.

'Shall we, Mrs. Leto?' I asked when we reached the door.

'Certainly Mr. Leto.' She replied grinning and I pulled her to me and kissed her. 'Then gather up your gown so I can carry you across the threshold.' I said softly, yet deviously.
