This one's an easy one. Now, Star Wars was a great part of my childhood. My dad thought it would be abuse if I didn't watch Star Wars. I grew up on the original trilogy that was on video cassettes. Oh yes... I knew what a VHS was. To this day, even after Disney has bought Lucasfilm, I still love Star Wars. And I of course watched the prequels. I was a kid at the time. So I thought they were the greatest things since sliced bread. In my adolescence, I never realized there were people that hated the prequels. "Fans" and critics panned the prequels for its lousy storytelling, wooden dialogue, lackluster acting, with a few notable exceptions; and its overabundance/dependence of CGI. Well like Mark Hamill, I will gladly defend the prequels! Some of the CG done by Industrial Light & Magic is decent, especially when it comes to the fantastical landscapes, and digitally removing limbs. The score by John Williams is great as always. My favorite performers from the films are Ewan MacGregor, Samuel L. Jackson, Ian McDiarmid, Frank Oz, and Anthony Daniels. The rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker, and his transformation into Darth Vader is a fascinating and tragic story. Out of all the prequels, Revenge of the Sith is my most favorite, especially since it ends where A New Hope begins. And I got to see it in theaters as a kid. I think Doug Walker can also explain the good things I like about the prequels better than I can. Maybe it's because I love Star Wars, maybe it's because both trilogies were part of my childhood, but I'll always defend the prequels. And if you think I'm done with talking about Star Wars, think again!
