Well, it's certainly been a while since I wrote a chapter here. And don't worry, I'll try to talk about a movie I like that everyone else hates. I'm considering either Seed of Chucky or The Simpsons after Season 10. But anyway, I'm here to show a drawing. So derekjaime is doing a fanfic known as IvyShy. And no, Poison Ivy is not Fluttershy's girlfriend in this story, in case anyone randomly asks... Anyway, Derek asked me if I'd be interested in letting my OC, Sunset's little brother Garrett Shimmer. I was like, sure, I'd be great with Garrett being Princess Twilight's love interest. But I was beaten to that unfortunately. So Derek was like, hey what about Starlight Glimmer? And I was like, huh, okay. So unlike many of my MLP fanfics, Garrett Shimmer will be the love interest of Starlight Glimmer in IvyShy. It's been so long since I've written an MLPEG fanfic where Garrett was NOT the love interest of Princess Twilight Sparkle. So normally I assumed Princess Twilight was 16, Sunset was 18, and Garrett was 15, thus making him a year younger than Princess Twilight. But in IvyShy, Garrett will be 14 years old! So it made sense to give Garrett a new look, and look somewhat like a 14 year old.
At least this Garrett looks like he's 14. I based Garrett's face on a caricature of Tom Holland. And Tom is best known for playing a teenager! I guess it helps that Tom has a youthful looking face. Funny that I say that since I'm 3 months, 3 weeks, and 2 days younger than him! It's interesting that I based Garrett's likeness on another British actor who played Spider-Man. I based Garrett's clothes on a drawing that my friend CharaDemonChild did with Garrett and Twilight.
His coat was the most interesting to draw and color. Still, with Garrett looking like Tom Holland, I can imagine why Starlight Glimmer would have a crush on Garrett. Anyway, hope you like Garrett's new look, Derek.
