This film is one of the few bad Marvel films that I like that everyone else hates. I was 10 years old when I first saw Spider-Man 3 in theaters. I didn't realize at the time that so many people hated this film and considered it one of the worst Spider-Man movies ever, that is until The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Venom were released. I didn't realize that the film was one of many Spider-Man films that was the victim of studio interference. Sony Pictures forced Sam Raimi to shoehorn in Venom. While many hate it, I consider it to be a guilty pleasure. The kid inside me just can't find any reason to hate Spider-Man 3 the same way I can't find a reason to hate Space Jam to this day. Besides, Spider-Man 3 has what may honestly be one of my favorite Stan Lee cameos. In the cameo, Peter Parker (played by Tobey Maguire, who used to be my favorite Spider-Man, until I saw Tom Holland who is now my favorite Spider-Man;) walks over to a billboard. His alter-ego has now been accepted by society. A random passerby sees the billboard, and says one of the most inspiring words ever, "You know, I guess one person can make a difference. Nuff said." Those words are the most inspirational, and they were what make me appreciate Stan Lee in general. I always try to live by those words. Thank you for everything Stan Lee. You may be gone but I know that your legacy will live on forever. Excelsior.
