Nolan's POV
I knew we had the investment from Shane's company. But, now that Shane knows that I am a part of the company, we could be in deep trouble if I go anywhere near Bliss. I wanted to rip that suit off of her. It took all of the strength I had not to do or say anything stupid.
"Ugh, I need to find some 'fun' for the weekend. Yeah, that's what I will do. But first, I need to update my parents." So, I went to take a shower.
After I took my shower, I put on a pair of jogging pants and a sweater. Then grabbed my phone to call my mother.

She didn't even let me get a word out of my mouth when she asked, "So, how did the presentation go?"
Nolan to mom: "Remind me why dad could not go?" I gulped, then told her what happened. "Let's just say that I better be on my best behavior or Shane Landes will stop investing in the company."
She paused for a moment, then it happened. "NOLANREESE GRANT, I WILL HURT YOU IF YOU MESS THIS UP!! What did you do?"
"Uh, uh, I may have propositioned his girlfriend for a night of 'fun.' When I went to the presentation, his girlfriend works there and will now be the one handling our meetings."
"Nolan, how could you?!!! We are no longer sending you. You are not going to mess up this investment for the company!!! It is bad enough we may not do the merger with Layla. It will be either your father or me going, understand?! It is time for you to grow up and stop it with these foolish ways!! For once, stop thinking about yourself!!"
She is right. But, it is going to be hard to give up my 'fun.' "I will try mom."
"If you don't, you will no longer be the CEO of the company. Understand?"
"Yes."
"Unbelievable. Wait until I tell your father!" Then she hung up the phone.
Man, this is going to be very hard. That means cutting out going to a lot of places - the club, bars, lounges, etc. How about I try next weekend? I feel the urge to release some tension. So, I made my way downstairs, grabbed a coat and went for a drive.

Layla's POV
I can't believe that trifling trick Julia left Bliss out in the cold. She is the most insecure woman I have ever seen. I told Braelyn that if Julia ever hurts her, call me or tell Austin. So far, she hasn't. And, she better not ever lay a hand on my child because they will have to surgically remove my foot from her behind.
