"She won't be leaving!" Troy yelled. His amber eyes were burning into Michael.
"What? Do you not want her to be free? Don't you love her?" he asked, "Honestly, Troy, we both know she loves Parker and Parker loves her. Neither one of us want them to end up together, so let's let one of us, that isn't Peter, win."
"She doesn't seem to want to leave!" Troy gruffly yelled. I could see his hand catching fire as he continued to angrily stare at Michael.
His blazing hand formed a fist as he began running towards Michael. Then, he got electrocuted by his inhibitor. The flame quickly went out and Michael just stared at him as he fell to his knees. Michael showed no emotions.
"You know, I didn't and still don't like you inhumans, but Everest makes me feel a certain way like I have emotions other than rage," he began to explain lazily to Troy, "I was going to be nice, but you're in my way."
He pulled out a tiny gadget from his pocket. "Do you want to know how I got into this school?" he asked, "I made this tiny blaster right here." He held it up to Troy's face. No, he wouldn't. He couldn't possibly be threatening him!
"Do you want to see what it does?" he asked. Troy's eyes went wide as Michael took a couple of steps back. "I'd look away, Princess! This can be gruesome!" he yelled at me.
Then, it went off. The red death ray shot right through Troy's chest.
"NO! TROY!" I screamed. I had regained my strength and flew over to him.
"Don't tell me you actually cared for him?" Michael asked, annoyed. He trotted casually over to me as I placed Troy's head in my lap. He put a cold hand on my shoulder.
"DON'T TOUCH ME!" I yelled as my wing harshly swat his hand away. I sobbed and sobbed.
"HEY! What's going on-" Mr. Barton started, "Oh my god!" He quickly ran over to me and Troy. "What the fuck happened?!" he yelled at us. I couldn't speak. The words were caught in my throat.
Mr. Barton pressed the button on his earpiece. "Yeah, Troy Killens is deceased. I need an ambulance and mental support," he spoke, "I'll also need the police and Shield." He looked at my purple firefly wings as he spoke.
"Hey, it's gonna be okay, but I'm gonna need to put these on both of ya," he said. He first handcuffed me then he handcuffed Michael.
My eyes were as wide as plates as I stared down at the corpse in my lap.
It felt like a part of me died as I looked at him. This couldn't have been real. He couldn't be dead! "He just can't be dead!" I yelled.
"Hey, it's gonna be okay. It's gonna be okay," Mr. Barton soothingly said as he awkwardly rubbed circles in my back.
My wings eventually subsided as his calming technique worked.
Everything was quiet before I heard sirens. Even then it was still muffled by the static in my ears.
The next thing I knew, there was a blanket around my shoulders and Troy's lifeless body was no longer in my lap.
"We're just going to take you back to the base and then you'll be back in a week," Fitz informed me. He had his hands placed on my shoulders. I remembered Fitz. He was the scientist that did all the tests on me when I was younger.
"Actually, we're going to come to get you in a week. The base is too full and we'll need to assess the place to prepare for damage," another scientist named Jemma Simmons said. I liked her accent it was pretty. It was like Loki's.
"Yeah, and you'll also make a statement about the murder," Fitz said.
"No, she won't. Just got a call from Fury; he doesn't want his nephew to have any part in this," Coulson said.
"Wait! What?!" I screamed, "But he murdered him! Just because I wouldn't go with him!"
"Shut up," Mr. Stark cut in, "Troy was an inhuman anyway; Michael would've won the case either way." I began crying again.
"He deserves justice! Troy deserves justice!" I yelled. I stood up and ran. I ran and ran. I needed to gather the others. We needed to talk.
Then Peter was walking out of his classes along with Ned. They could gather the other inhumans in their dorm without suspicion. I had seen the regular dorms and they were quite big. They could fit sixty students in there!
"Hey, Peter, Ned," I said, "We need to talk privately."
"Uh, sure, let's go get lunch first though," Peter replied.
"No, there's no time," I said, "Let's go to your dorm." Peter and Ned nodded, realizing the seriousness of the situation. They led me to their shared dorm and shoved me inside.
"What's so important that we had to miss lunch?" Ned asked.
"I'll explain it later, just, bring every inhuman here. Tell them that I need to inform them of something serious," I said, "I need to wait here. Also, go get Raven and Hazel."
"What about Michael?" Peter asked. I tensed up at the name.
"No, avoid him at all costs, especially you, Peter," I said, "I'll explain everything. I promise." They both nodded and set out to go get the rest of the inhumans. Most of them would be heading to lunch, so it shouldn't be too hard.
...
"We've got everyone, but what's going on?" Peter asked.
"Yeah, what's the matter, Everest?" Jazzy asked.
"Where's Troy?" Dakota asked. I stood up on a counter. Everyone began asking questions at once and it was hurting my head.
"Everyone, I have some bad news!" I yelled getting everyone to be quiet, "Troy Killens, a fellow inhuman, was murdered today by Michael Johnson!" I heard gasps and sobs beginning.
"I know how you all feel and more, for I was there! He was trying to save me from Michael, but these stupid inhibitors kept him from doing so!" I explained, "Michael saw him as a threat and used a blaster that he had made to blast a hole through his chest!"
"But there's one more part! There's going to be no trial, because simply, Troy was inhuman and didn't matter to them!" I explained further, "Michael will go free, simply because he is of higher social status!"
"You want to know what I think?!" I asked them, "I think we should full fill Troy's dream and start an Inhuman Revolution! We will retreat and go to a place where they hold no power over us!"
My skin began to glow a sunflower yellow as I spoke and I began to fly as wings sprouted out of my back. Sunflower: the Color for Leadership.
"I know that there's a place for us, and I'll find it!" I yelled.
