Death is Near

I smiled brightly at Daisy. I couldn't believe it. Daisy was very loyal to Sheild and would die in place of the director without question. She risked being put into confinement to help them! Sheild was her family! I couldn't comprehend why she would help us, but I didn't question it!

"Thank you! Thank you!" I excitedly exclaimed as I hugged her. She quickly wrapped her arms around me in a warm hug.

"Okay," She said, "But be peaceful." I looked at her confused. They deserve to be hurt! They deserve to die! They deserve to suffer just like we had to! "I know what you're thinking, but hurting people will only prove their point. Don't let them know that we are the monsters they set us up to be."

"Prove that you're a hero," she said. She put one finger on my forehead. "Listen to your head, but also listen to your heart," she said as she moved her finger to my chest. "But also listen to the others around you the most. You're a leader now; they come first unless otherwise."

"What do you mean by otherwise?" I asked.

"If you are sick, you don't push yourself. If you get hurt and are dying, you don't push yourself," Daisy advised. I nodded. "I better get going. You go find your people, okay?" she asked. I once again nodded.

We stepped out of my room. Wow, soon I wouldn't be able to say that about that room. She ran back to the roof; probably to get ready to leave on the helicarrier as I went back to go into my room. I had only been on one twice, but both times I was heavily sedated.

Man, I wish I could fly a helicarrier! I mean, I can technically fly, but it had never lasted long enough to fly up into the clouds. If I could fly for that long, I'd fly to a forest where no one could find me. I didn't have to be here. I could be flying with the birds, hanging out with the deer, or just overall enjoying being free.

I laid down on my twin bed. My head hitting the comfy white pillow. I put my hands under my head and crossed my legs.

As I kept thinking about my selfish wishes, I eventually fell asleep.

I walked around the dark forest once again, but for some reason, I felt like this would be one of my last visits. I walked over to mine and Doc's usual spot; the lake. The small lake was as blue as ever, and the golden moon's reflection shined bright.

The trees rustled in the wispy wind. My soul was shining brightly in the dark. Every single pastel-hued leaves were glistening radiantly as it sent silhouettes behind me. I sat on a boulder near the big body of water. I pulled my knees to my chest as I stuffed my face into them.

"I don't remember it being this cold," I said to myself as a shiver went up my spine.

"Really? I'm not cold," a voice said from behind me. I turned around to see Doc, but for some reason, I didn't want to talk to him. I mean, I knew I needed to talk to him because of the Revolution, but I just needed to be alone. No, I wanted to be alone. My people need me to talk to him.

"Things are going to be different soon," I said as I looked up from my knees. I met his blue hues. They dazzled in the moon's brilliant light.

"What do you mean?" he asked. I made my way off of the boulder. I sauntered over to the edge of the lake, trying to avoid his question, and stuck my hand in. The fireflies came swarming out, but there seemed to be even more! "Are you avoiding me?" he asked.

"No, "I said, "Just delaying the inevitable." He walked cautiously over to me. I turned around to face him.

"You can tell me anything," he reassured me as he put both of his hands on my shoulders.
