Let the Fireworks Begin

The day had finally come. The day we leave this prison pretending to be a school.

Today, we must prepare for anything both emotionally and physically. We must prepare for heartbreak, but also triumph. Today, we prepare for possible injuries and setbacks.

But today, I must prepare to talk to T'Challa, King of Wakanda as a fellow leader. I knew that would still be days away, but he was a king. He'd expect me to be professional and prepared, not a dismantled teenager who has no idea about what she's doing like I am.

"Is it ready?" I asked Ned and Raven. They both nodded as I tried to calm myself. Everyone was super unsure of what was going to happen. I could be risking their lives, but I assured myself even if that's so, the media will definitely see it as a peaceful revolution. Our message will be sent. They'll see the message I left them on my mural.

Then we saw the sparking portal begin to open. Doc and his friend, Wong, were there keeping the portal opened. Then, I felt my Stark band fall to the floor, then I heard a simultaneous noise of clinking against the floor of Ned and Peter's dorm. I smiled at the satisfying noise that filled mine and everybody's ears. Then I remembered the portal. "Everybody! It's time to go!" I yelled, "Get the small kids in first, then it doesn't matter, but humans are last!"

They all nodded and cheered in excitement. Wong and Doc held open the portal and as everybody was heading in, we heard a siren that surrounded the whole building go off.

"Kids! This is Tony Stark!" Tony yelled through Jarvis, "Step away from the magical portal!"

"GO! HURRY!" I yelled. There were screams of terror and uncertainty. "NOW!" There was banging on the door that filled my heart with terror. It wasn't normal banging, it sounded like Mr. Stark had his Iron Man suit on!

"Peter! Suit up!" I yelled towards my superhero boyfriend.

"Already... done!" he said as he pressed the spider on his chest. He webbed the door shut as we got the rest of the supplies and inhumans through the portal.

Then, BOOM! The door was blasted off of the wall. I and our human party ran through the portal. "Hurry up, Pete!" I yelled.

"Sorry, Mr. Stark, but what you and the rest of the world are doing is wrong," he said as he webbed Mr. Stark to a wall. He then leaped through the portal.

The portal shut and for the first time in a long time, I was out of Stark's School for Future Inventors and Geniuses without a Stark band. Without something that shocks me every time I simply feel an emotion strongly.

"We made it... We actually made it!" I yelled in excitement as everyone was hugging each other in pure bliss. I hugged Peter who still had his suit on. I pulled off his mask and kissed him. I wasn't even embarrassed, I was too happy to be.

"No hug for the guy who just got you guys out of there?" Doc said from behind me. I giggled and tackled him in a big hug. He quickly returned the hug and kissed the top of my head, but I could feel him glaring at Peter.

"Thank you," I whispered into his chest. His cloak wrapped around me.

"No problem," he said, "Now, the rooms are down that hall. Go assign your people to one and it'll take a few days until we can all leave for Wakanda." I nodded and rounded everybody up to take them to our rooms for the next few days.

That day was a victory, but what I didn't know was that the enemy was planning something. Something big.

(3rd person omniscient POV)

Tony ripped off the webs of betrayal from his suit down in his lab. How could Peter, someone who was basically his son, do that to him. "Why? Why would he do this?!" he yelled in frustration.
