"How on Earth could you let a criminal fugitive into your country?!" a delegate yelled at T'Challa.
"As I see it, she is not a criminal, but a leader of a Kingdom," T'Challa argued, "A leader requesting help for her people."
"S-still! She is a dangerous inhuman with many other inhumans!" another delegate argued.
"But she is not inhuman, but a person given the powers to protect the souls of the universe," T'Challa stated, "Am I wrong, Coulson?"
"He is not wrong," Phil says, "We have evidence showing that she has more than one power and has never even been through terrigenesis."
"I would like to speak to Ms. Everest," another delegate says. We were speaking through holographic transmissions since I'd be safer staying in Wakanda.
"Of course," T'Challa says beckoning me over to be beside him. I walked over to him, unsure of what to say.
"Hello," I say to the politicians and leaders of the world, "My name is Everest Maye Parker and I am the queen of the inhumans."
"Hello, Ms. Parker--" a man said, but I interrupted him.
"It's actually Mrs. Parker; I'm married," I corrected.
"You're only fourteen, how could you be married?"
"We didn't know what was going to happen, so we decided to get married, but this isn't about my relationship with my husband."
"Ah, of course. Mrs. Parker, is it true that you brainwashed young children and your peers to follow you and call you their queen," he asked.
"No, that is not true. Everyone followed me because they believed in me and Troy Killens's cause. I do not own the ability to brainwash as many have claimed," I answered.
"Troy Killens was a friend of yours who died, yes?" another woman asked.
"Yes, he died at the hands of Michael Johnson who was jealous of the affection I showed Troy," I said.
"My Michael would do no such thing!" a woman yelled, "And he definitely would not fall for a fugitive like you!"
"Now, Mrs. Johnson, calm down," a man said to Mrs. Johnson.
"I do not believe he was in love with me. I have the ability to see people's souls and your son's was crumpled and broken," I explained, "My soul is special and unique, none like it. It's full of not only my own emotions but others' as well."
"I believe your son only felt emotions around me and he got addicted," I explained further.
"Such a narcissist! You think only your soul is special! You think you're better than us!" she yelled at me.
"I'm sorry that you can't look at the evidence that I know the proof shows!" I yelled back, "Your son killed one of my best friends and isn't even getting consequences! I'm the narcissist?! You need to look in a mirror because you think your kid is an angel that can do no wrong!"
"Everest, calm down. I know that Troy's death has had a very big impact on you and you haven't been able to express your feelings," T'Challa calmed me.
"If my Michael did kill that monstrosity of a child, then I am happy he did! You inhumans should be exterminated!" she yelled.
"Security, please escort Mrs. Johnson out of the room," an Asian man says in his accent.
The security guards walk into frame and I see them drag her out of the room.
"I am fine now," I said to T'Challa.
"Why do you believe powered people should be able to live freely?" a delegate asked.
"I'm going to ask you all to imagine something. Imagine being seven years old in social services and they know you're inhuman, but then suddenly, they make a law that inhumans needed to be kept away from the normal people to be studied then be under constant supervision," I say, "You are scared and hide from S.H.I.E.L.D., but then get dragged to S.H.I.E.L.D. to be studied and tested on with the promise that you'll be able to get back to normal life soon."
"Then, you are there for two years and even then, they make a new law saying that inhuman children have to go to special schools wearing inhibitors. They don't have to be taught because that was the only way some schools would accept that policy," I continued, "Then, as soon as the inhibitors are stuck on your wrists, you get shocked to show what pain you'll be in until you're eighteen. Now, imagine doing hard labor every day for about five years with the addition of getting shocked."
"Imagine that you can't control your powers because they are linked to your emotions," I said, "That was my life for seven years. I'd get shocked about fifteen to forty times a day for something I couldn't control. Imagine that. Imagine that pain and then even the ones that cared for you couldn't do anything because you're an orphan and it's illegal to adopt inhuman children."
"We are so sorry for your suffering, but you've got to understand you guys are dangerous--" a woman began.
"No, we're not dangerous. You're just scared of change. The world is scared of change and adaptation," I said, "And you guys aren't helping with that fear and disdain. Making us wear inhibitors makes us seem like wild animals that would kill you if we didn't have them on."
"Then, what would your solution be if you're so confident in yourself," a fat man says.
"Schools for both young and old to learn how to control and use their powers properly," I suggest, "For the young ones still in school, they'll still teach the basics for any normal kid."
"But they'll be wearing inhibitors at home and at the school, correct?" a woman asks.
"No, these schools will be inhibitor-free and so will their homes," I said, "And orphan inhumans will be allowed to get adopted just like any normal kid. There will have to be some adaptation to medics. The medics will have to be able to do the tests that S.H.I.E.L.D. can do in one to two days."
"Well, we'll talk about it," the man at the head of the table says.
"Please do," I say. Then, we go offline.
"You did great, Everest," T'Challa compliments.
"I hope I did," I said, "I just want this to be over already."
...
I sat on Peter's lap, sitting and chatting with our friends. We were all waiting for the leaders of the world to get back to us. While we were waiting, we got to know the resident Wakandan princess. Shuri was awesome. She asked us questions about the normal world, like Starbucks. She also stumped Peter with the amount of tech she makes.
"Everest, they're coming back on," one of the Wakandan guards say. I run to the room. I needed to know what they were going to say.
I barged into the room. All I could see was T'Challa looking shocked and worried at the screen.
"What? What did they say?" I asked.
"They're coming here to take all of you," he says, "And they're going to arrest all of you."
I took a step back.
"They said that you all are too dangerous and that this revolution proves that and that they're having the best come and get you," he continued.
