■reader pov■

It was summer, and I had just graduated high school, so I decided to get a job.

Fortunately for me, there's a carnival in town, so why not look while I'm job searching?

I was dressed in a f/c hoodie with a grey undershirt, blue jean shorts and 2/f/c converse. My hair was in its usual style and I had a 2/f/c backpack to match my converse.

Inside was my wallet, a portable phone charger, and some other essentials I may need later.

My converse hit the pavement as I wandered the small town I live in, in the middle of just about nowhere.

There wasn't much here, but it was peaceful, and the carnival usually brought tourism to this sleepy town.

My h/c hair swayed as I walked, and my e/c eyes scanned the streets. I had a game me and my friends played, it's called spot the tourists.

I picked out the large group with different clothing not suited for this climate, laughing at their discomfort. It was kinda chilly, but only the start of summer.

They must have been from a more tropical climate, because they shivered in their clothes.

I laughed and they looked with awe to see me comfortable in shorts, but I guess the hoodie was there too.

Even though I was a few blocks from the carnival (it's on the edge of town on a fairground), I could smell the fairfood.

Soon, I made it to the entrance, buying a ticket and entering. I scanned the crowd for my friends, linnea, Andy and Jay.

Andy was a ghost, but he could be invisible to certain people he didn't know. Linnea also had her companion, halo, who currently took the form of a ring on her finger.

Jay had one angel wing, but it was easily hideable. Soon I spotted the trio of friends, and I booked it over.

Linnea saw me, icy blue eyes locking with me as she squealed, waist long pink hair behind her as she ran to meet me in the hug.

"Hey linnie! Sorry I'm late, but I slept in." I said, she laughed at me.

"Classic y/n, it's ok, but let's get goin!" Her porcelain colored hand grabbed mine. She is danish, so not very tan, and she knows multiple Scandinavian languages.

As I got close, Jay hugged me, picking me up since he's tall.

"Oh heeyyyy y/n." He chimed, spinning once before placing me down, his spiky blonde-brown hair defying gravity as always and his chocolate eyes sparkling.

He was very tan, like voltron lance level of tan.

(Voltron lance is my son, but if you wanna be his second mom that's ok)

(Yea reveal everyone probably assumed; author peach-chan is a gal)

Andy patted my back with a timid smile, his white pupils in his solid black eyes focused on me.

He didn't have legs, but that ghost tail thing and he floated all the time.

We moved around the fair, enjoying several aspects such as food, rides, etc.
