The four mermaids swam deep to the cave of a sea witch apparently tori knew, to see if they could get help with their little love issue.
He agreed, however the spell only lasts 2 days, and if they fail to gain the girl's affection they will all become servants to the sea witch.
Immediately after they accepted the contract, they all felt searing pain in thei tails like somebody was slicing them in half.
The four managed to make it to land, and now was the time to start searching.
"So if i were y/n, where would i be?" Tamara thought.
"She never told us about any spots she frequented..." ell murmured.
They all acquired regular clothing, and were now walking the streets in search of their beloved friend.
"Hey guys look!" Matilda said, the others followed her line of sight until they saw a familiar outline weaving in and out of people.
The group drew closer, and saw her with a man who strongly resembled the sea witch from before.
Now the entire group of six was near the more desolate parts of town. Nobody around except for them.
Ell tapped her on the shoulder, and she turned, looking a little confused.
"Oh hello! Are you guys lost or something?" Y/n asked.
They knew it was the right person because the tattoos of crow wings are visable on her shoulders.
"Y/n its us, remember?" Tamara says cautiously.
She shook her head confusedly, and the man stepped forwards.
"Let me deal with this dear. Could you carry the groceries home?" He asked politely and y/n obliged.
Once she was gone the pissed off females stood in front of him, yet he didnt even bat an eye.
"What did you do to her..." matilda murmured, standing behind ell.
"With how great you said y/n is, i figured that i would make her love me and get you as servants in the process." He grinned.
Both tamara and tori growled and lunged, but with a snap of his fingers they all fell down with tails instead of legs.
"Now now, you wouldnt want to be stranded this far from the water would you?" He chimed tauntingly.
With a laugh, he turned them back to humans and walked away cackling at his plan.
The four girls sulked, and traveled to an inn to attempt to get a plan.
" if theyre marrying tomorrow, theres no way that we'll ever get to see y/n again!" Matilda cried.
"Well, it was fun knowing you." Tamara said, taking a long swig from a bottle of alcohol.
"No... this cant be it!" Tori fumed, pacing the entire room.
"What do you suppose we do?" Ell asked.
"We need to trigger her memories somehow... but what..." tori said.
"I got it! What if we make her a seashell heart like she did when she wanted us to remember her?" Matilda chimes.
The other three look at eachother, and then nod in agreement.
"Its settled, but we need to go quickly or else." Tori says.
The girls were fast to collect seashells, and found their friend again.
-reader pov-
"Cmon y/n, we have something pretty to show you!" Matilda squeals excitedly.
"Yeah, youll love it." Ell smiles. I had only met these four girls but they brought nostalgia with them.
The four led me to a beach, and showed me a heart made of shells in the sand. My head throbbed and i put a hand on it.
"What have you done!" I heard a man scream, and then i looked to see an unknown man standing above my four mermaid friends with a revolver.
Thinking quickly, i grabbed my silver pirate knife and stabbed him where the heart should be.
He gasped, dropping his revolver and dying on the sand, part of which was stained with his blood.
I held my bloody knife in shock, trembling as i grabbed his ankles and pulled the body to the water.
After it had gone out of sight, i fell to my knees in the sand, my four friends turned back to humans and sat by me.
"How the hell do you all have legs." I said, staring blankly at the water in front of me, unable to comprehend stabbing a man in the heart.
"Well... that was the sea witch, who turned us into humans and then tried to marry you." Tori stated simply, like this is the usual for them.
"You guys... didnt have to do that for me..."
"We wanted to, because we love you and it was worth it." Tamara replies.
"You guys all... love me?" I asked, turning to face the four girls in front of me.
I had never heard the words 'i love you.'directed at me, let apone from four girls i liked back.
Tears gathered in my lashes, and i pulled them into a group hug better than any of the ones my crew ever gave me.
" i love you too..."
