Safe wings

Chapter 33:

I wake up gasping and screaming. Luke is instantly comforting me. "hey, it's okay,im right here what happened?" he asks pulling me gently up and into his lap.

"You, you were mad at me and yelled and pushed me down, th-then trigger fell down the cliff and I- it's felt so real" I say as I cry.

I wiggle so I can straddle him and lay my head on his bare chest. I hug him and he wraps his arms around me and runs his fingers down my back.

He quickly finds the tips of my hair and softly tugs at the ends. I lean into him and relax

"What's planned for today?" I ask.

"Absolutely nothing, we get to do exactly what you want to do." He says.

"Really?"

"Yes, there's only 9 more days left and we get to enjoy them" he says. I nod.

I pull away from him and look into his eyes.

"Let's go up on the mountain and we can go swimming" I say. He laughs before nodding.

"Okay, got a swimsuit?"

"Don't I always?" I ask laughing. I jump off him

and run to the drawer. I pull out my bikini and run into the bathroom. I quickly slip it on. It's coral and white. I fix my hair into a bun and then slip on some short shorts and a tee shirt of Luke's as a coverup till we get to the river. when I get into the room Luke has his swimsuit on with a tee on.

I smile and hug him. "thanks Lukey" I smile. I slip on some tennis shoes and so does Luke. he grabs my hand and we walk outside towards the mountains.

After a while we get there and I quickly slip off my tennis shoes. Luke pulls off his shirt and waits for me. I take off my shirt and shorts and jump in.

"Hey!" Luke yells. I laugh as he runs in and splashes me. We have a huge splash war before Luke pulls me under. I pull up laughing. I smile up at Luke before his arm quickly finds my waist. He wraps his arm around my waist and he chuckles at me.

"Your one crazy girl"

"I know Lukey but I don't care." I say.

He pulls me to him and I wrap my arms around his neck. He kisses me and after a few minutes I pull apart. "I love you" he says.

"I love you too Luke" I smile.

He kisses me again only this time he softly nibbles at my bottom lip. I let him have entrance and he smiles against my lips. His tongue explores my mouth but quickly comes back as he continues to nibble on my bottom lip. I bite his top lip softly and tug at it. I pull apart but he doesn't stop. He continues to kiss my cheek, jawline and down my neck a bit. Then he continues back to my mouth before kissing me again.

I pull one hand up and gently tug at his curls. after a while he pulls apart.

" I don't want to leave." he says softly.

"I know." I say leaning into his side.

"I'll be back after senior year for good"

"I'll still have school by the time you get back." I say sadly.

"Yeah but I'll be here, every morning and every afternoon." he says.

I hug him tightly.

"I wish I could just come to Luisiana with you" I say softly.

"Me too but, you have to stay here"

"I know Luke." I say.

He picks me up and carries me to shore.

"Let's dry off and go home"

"Okay."
