Chapter 20

"Lucas I chose you okay?" I say. He had been on edge since Josh said that he worked for mummy.

"Whatever, just... ignore him." Luke says. I nod and go to him. I can't wrap my arms around him because of my crutches but I stand in front of him laying my head on his chest. He slowly wraps an arm around my waist.

"I'm sorry" he says slowly.

"It's okay." I say looking up at him with my chin on his chest.

He stares down at me and then scoops me up quickly taking me to his couch. He sits me down and then sits beside me. He wraps both arms around me and plants kisses on my forehead, nose, chin, and cheeks.

I chuckle and wrap my arms around him. I quickly steal a kiss from his cheek.

He smiles down at me and then softly kisses my lips.

"I love you." he says.

"Love you too Luke." I say before kissing his nose.

"I have a suprise for you." he says

"Oh really?"

"Yeah you get it tommorow."

"Oh okay" I say.

He pulls me into his lap and then kisses my cheek.

"Goodnight." he says.

"Night." I say laying my head on his chest and falling quickly to sleep.

The next morning I wake up in Luke's arms.

"Morning." he says.

"Morning."

"I'm taking you to the truck to go to your suprise. Go back to sleep." he says.

"Okay Lukey." I say. He kisses my nose and then lays me in the backseat of his truck. Trevor is up front.

He begins to drive away and I begin to sleep again. After sleeping for four more hours I awake to the truck stopping.

I look out the window to see a log cabin that is completely surrounded by woods and it's on a mountain. The house is dark.

"Hey Lukey what are we doing here?" I say.

"Don't call me that Alyssa!" he hisses his whole demeanor has changed.

"Why what's wrong babe?" I ask.

He glares at me "I'm not your babe." he says before roughly yanking me from the truck where someone with strong arms yanks my arms behind me before I can stand and begins tying me. I try to turn my head but it is yanked forwards by Trevor.

"Good job Lucas." he praises his older brother.

"Get her crutches." a mans voice orders from somewhere behind me. I shudder at the voice and stare with hatred at Lucas.

"Yessir" Trevor says as he pulls my crutches up and breaks them and then throws them in a pond.

The man behind me yanks me up and drags me into the cabin. He throws me into a small room "bye honey." he says growling. I see Matt as he walks off. I fall onto the ground and the door opens.

Lucas walks in "what the hell do you want?" I hiss.

He grimaces at my sharp tone.

"I had to okay! now they will abuse you. You probobly won't see me again. I'm sorry" he says. He walks up and places an arm on my shoulders. He bends down to kiss me but I kick him in the balls.

"Leave me the hell alone before I kill you." I hiss.

"Fine." he says before running away. he looks hurt.

"You know I would do anything if I could" he says.

"No I don't trust you."

He looks hurt. I lay in the floor and stare at the door. My mother appears.

"How stupid child, you thought you could run." she laughs.

I stare into her dark eyes.

"Your father will prove you wrong for that." she says before he walks in with a whip.

"Noo!" I scream.

"Shut up!" he hisses before cracking the whip on my back.

I scream again and I hear Lucas's voice in my head. "it's okay it's okay." he says. I shudder awake in his arms in a cold sweat.

It was only a dream.

"Luke." I say hoarsely. He hugs me to him.

"Shhh, your okay he can't hurt you here." he says softly with his lips grazing my ear.
