I looked around and realized I was sitting on a couch in an unfamiliar living room. A girl with ice blue eyes and a golden pixie-cut was smiling and bouncing around.
"I saved you!" she sang loudly. Lucas glared at her. I giggled, noticing that I was back to back with someone. I turned and saw Casey. He was smiling. Suddenly the girl was an inch from my face, her eyes wide and crazy, her mouth a giant smile. I was thouroughly creeped out. I grabbed Casey's shirt and held it in the death grip instead of screaming. My eyes widened in fear and I took a sharp breath inward. The girl's face reddened and her smile shrunk with embarrassment.
"Sorry, my friends say I do that sometimes." she said apologetically. I let out the breath I didn't realize I was holding and smiled with relief. Her eyes didn't go back to wild and crazy but her smile widened again. She extended her hand to me. "Claire Silver, time and soul Fae." she said. I took her hand.
"Fffffallon Taylor" I said. I'm such an idiot! I almost told her that my name was Fog! Dawn glanced at me but I didn't want to see her triumphant sneer, so I kept my eyes down.
"Are you sure?" Claire joked. I smiled gently and nodded, never looking up. Casey elbowed me in my ribs and I jerked up for the nerve he had hit. I had met Casey in karate and from that he knew my unusual pressure point. Lucas gave me a strange look. I glared daggers at him and then turned to Claire.
"Ooohhh..." she said. "You can feel the tension in the air..." I giggled. Claire clapped her hands together loudly and I jumped. Lucas turned away with a smile. I'm really starting to hate him. "Who wants to hear a story?!" Claire asked cheerfully. I tried to adjust my position to see her better and managed to fall off the couch and hit my head on the coffee table. I heard laughter around me as the world went black. "Maybe later then...." Claire's voice faded away. My head was clanging and then I was really out.

"It's probably from coming to this dimension"
For some reason the fact that I was in a different dimension didn't surprise me. I kind of knew it form the start.
"Maybe"
"I wonder if she's dead"
"You say that again and I will kill you."
"Ooohhh! Someone has a crush!"
"I was assigned to keep her safe when the rebellion started. Just like Eli was assigned to Dawn."
"Eli was assigned to me?!"
"Yes, and also another person but she died..."
"Who was it?"
"Your sister"
The voices were replaced by silence. I was getting worried. No! I want the voices, however stupid their owners were!
"Why is she crying?"
Thank you god.
"Fallon, it's alright. You're okay."
The voice sounded flat with something lying underneath, but I was too fogged out to notice.
"Yeah right, you know she could just be going painfully"
*SMACK!*
"Ow..."
That voice was shaky and filled with pain. It was Dawn's. Despite her comments I felt so much hatred to whoever slapped her. My eyes flew open and I saw Lucas standing across from Dawn with anger radiating off him. For a heartbeat I saw red waves coming off him, but then I saw him regular. My own anger built up inside me and I got to my feet with my tears still going down my face. I pushed Lucas back and he fell onto the floor. His eyes were filled with pain and I suddenly felt really dizzy and unstable. Before I fell, though, I tried to get away.
"Where's the bathroom?" I asked Claire.
"First door on the right. I nodded and quickly and got inside the huge place. I fell to the floor and retched. Soon the world went black again. This time I dreamed, though. I was falling down an empty well with flames going up and down the side, despite the pouring rain. A lightning bolt got me and time slowed down to a stop. My eyes glazed over in the dream and I breathed my last breath.
