Rosalinda Keyes stared at herself in a dressing room's mirror, her fingertips feeling the fabric of the material as she admired the design of the short dress she was currently wearing.  A sudden knock against the dressing room's door caused the young brunette to jump.  "Excuse me, miss?  You've been in there for a while now so I just wanted to make sure everything is alright." A female's voice spoke on the other side of the door.

Rosie's eyes widened when they laid upon the large pile of clothes on the dressing room's bench, littered with tops, jeans, skirts, dresses, jackets, almost any type of clothing she could wear.  "Yes, e-everything is alright."  She stuttered as she stripped off the dress, the silk material falling to the ground.  Rosie quickly grabbed her original clothes and put them back on in a hurry.

Once she was fully dressed, Rosie stepped out of her dressing room, immediately being greeted by the female worker who had forced smile on her face.  "Are you satisfied with any of the choices of clothing you picked out?" Rosie's eyes went slightly wide as she quickly glanced at the Mount Everest pile of clothes in the dressing room she was just in. "Yeah, those clothes aren't really like me."

"That's okay." The female worker nodded, her hands clasped together and laid out in front of her. "You can just look around and I'll put back the clothes you brought into here." Rosie flashed the worker a quick smile before she walked in a quick pace towards the store exit and she could've sworn she heard the female worker mumbled "That little shit..." under her breath when she entered the dressing room that was littered with tried on clothes.

After exiting the store, Rosie decided that it was time to head home, seeing that the bright moon was now up instead of the blinding sun. While walking in the direction of her apartment, Rosie couldn't help but frown at the activities she did on her free time. The brunette went from store to store, trying on clothes that she knew she wouldn't be able to buy due to financial and personal problems. Ever since her mother's death her father always paid the bills late, sometimes she would come with the electricity or water turned off or see a eviction warning stuck to their door.

Another reason she doesn't get the clothes is because of the amount of bruises she gets from her father. Rosie was unable to wear the beautiful clothes she sees girls in her school like
Mary Jane or Gwen wear because of her injuries. She would have to wear loose, baggy clothes such as sweatshirts or sweatpants to conceal her marks, so that no one would be able to see them.

Too driven in her thoughts, Rosie didn't notice a group of guys beating up some man in an alleyway she was walking towards to until it was too late. "You think you can just steal from us and think that we won't find you?" Rosie was ripped from her thoughts at the sound of a man's deep, raspy voice. She pressed her body against the corner of a store's brick wall, her head slightly poking out to see three masked men beating up a man who was kneeled in front of them.
