The sound of children's cries and parents soothing their young filled the small, colorful classroom. "Mommy, I don't want to go! Please don't make me go!" A four year old Rosalinda cried into her mother's arms.

"Rosie..." Her mother, Mariana's calming voice filled the little girl's ears as tears streamed down her face. "...you have to. Mommy has to go to work." "Why can't daddy take care of me?" The small brunette argued, rubbing her nose as she finally stopped crying.

"Because he works too sweetpea." The smiling mother answered, pushing a strand of her daughter's long hair behind her ear.  "Okay, listen me." She ordered more sternly but a smile still on her lips.  "If you be good today, no complaints from your teacher, and make some friends, you, me, and daddy will go out and get some ice cream, deal?"

Rosalinda wiped the dried tears off her face and smiled widely, nodding her head.  "Yes!  Deal." She stuck her hand out, her mom immediately taking it and gave a small shook.  "Alright, have fun today.  Love you." Mariana leaned up and kissed her daughter on her forehead before standing up from her kneeled position.  "Love you too mommy!"

The four year old Rosie watched as her mommy gave her one last wave before walking out of the classroom with the other parents.  Her eyes then looked around the room, seeing her classmates playing and talking to each other, her eyes landing on a brown-haired boy sitting by himself, playing with some blocks.

Rosalinda happily skipped her way towards the boy, leaning over and tapped on his shoulder, causing him to turn around, his brown eyes meeting hers.  "Hi, my name is Rosalinda Keyes but my mommy and daddy call me Rosie.  What's your name?"  The boy fixed the small classes that rested on the bridge of nose, his eyes slightly squinting at the girl that stood in front of him, a tiny smile growing on his lips.  "I'm P-Peter, Peter P-Parker."

"Nice to meet you Peter.  Can I play with you?" She asked politely, her eyes shifting over to the blocks that were laid out around him.  Peter stared at her for a brief second before his eyes widened, his lips slightly parted as he nodded his head.  "Y-Yeah."  He scooted over a bit, allowing her to sit next to him, smiles on both of their faces as they began to play together, not knowing that this is just the beginning of their new formed friendship.

Loud horns and cheers filled the large auditorium when Rosie and Peter's class all bowed as confetti was shot into the air, a banner dropping from the ceiling that read, "Goodbye 5th Graders Of 2011"
