"I'll get revenge the only way I know."
warnings: intense violence and murder
Anger. Vengeance. Bloodthirsty. Fearless. Those are the things Rosalinda Keyes felt the moment her eyes slowly opened. She stared down at the restraints that were wrapped around her wrists and ankles with no emotion on her face. "Where the hell am I?" She thought, shifting her hands against the ropes, finding the tightness of it uncomfortable. The sound of a door opening caused Rosie to lift her head up to see a woman step into the room, her eyes widening at the sight of the young girl quite alive. "You guys!" She shouted, breathing uneasily. Next thing you know, Rosie saw at least around a dozen men and women enter the room with the same shocked expressions as the first one. "I thought you said she was dead." A man snapped, getting a shrug in response. "She had no pulse."
The same man walked up to Rosie, kneeling beside her and stared into her hazel eyes. "What's is your name?" Rosie looked down at her chest and lap, examining her own body. "Rosalinda Marie Keyes." The man nodded towards one of women scientists, making sure she was copying down the answers onto the tablet she held in her hands. "How old are you?" "Fourteen years old."
The man grabbed Rosie's chin and forced her to look at him in the eyes, annoyed by her wandering gaze. "What are your parents' names?" "Mariana and Anthony Keyes." She answered with no sense of emotion in her tone. "Who do you work for?" The man masked, glancing back at the other scientists who stared at the young girl with curiosity. "Oscorp." The man smiled in approval, standing up from his kneeling spot. "And what do you do for Oscorp?" "Norman Osborn's own personal bodyguard."
The man smiled again, glancing back to the other scientists that had the same expression as him. "As his bodyguard, what are your duties?" "To ensure the safety of Mr. Osborn and his company, Oscorp Industries." Rosie answered, slightly glaring at the man who still had the same idiotic smile on his face. "Good, and what's your codename?" "Shadow." The group of scientists began to cheer and the man that stood in front of Rosie walked behind her, cutting the ropes that were tied around her wrists and ankles. "I think it is time to celebrate."
"Follow us Shadow." The man ordered, following the group of scientists leaving the room. Rosie stood up from her chair and stayed close behind, not speaking a single word.
Rosie followed the group to the cafeteria of the Tower, standing in the sidelines as they all socialize. "Shadow! Care to grab the bottle of wine from the fridge?" One of the male scientists asked before continuing his conversation with some of his coworkers. Rosie did a simple nod and walked over to the kitchen, grabbing the wine that the man was speaking of.
Walking back into the cafeteria, the only security guard that was leaning against the wall by the entrance held the empty glass that was in his hands up. "Can I get the first fill?" He asked politely. Rosie just nodded, walking up to him while unscrewing the top of the bottle.
