"So dark.  So deep.  The secrets that you keep..."

Rosalinda Keyes felt her heart drop the second she stepped into Octavius's lab, finding the place entirely empty.  All of the computers, generators, transformers, everything was gone.  "What the hell happened?" Rosie asked, her eyes widening and her hands gesturing towards the empty laboratory.

"Norman Osborn happened." Darren answered, pushing off the table he was leaning against.  "He came here along with some of his men and started taking everything, including Otto's blueprints."  "What?  Why?"  Rosie questioned, taking a seat on one of the chairs next to Darren.  "I don't know!  He just showed up saying that we are doing unauthorized experiments and confiscated everything." 

Rosie scoffed, "Unauthorized?  When did we even need an authorization?"  "Well since our lab is in the district that Norman owns, we need authorization to do any experiments having to do with science or technology."  Darren explained, taking his glasses off and rubbed his eyes.  "You know Norman is doing this just because he doesn't like Otto.  Right?" Rosie asked and Darren nodded, agreeing with her. 

"How's Otto holding up?" Her voice full of concern, wondering how the man who dedicated his life to science was feeling, when his life's work was literally taken away from him.  "Not well.  He would've assaulted Norman if I wasn't here.  He doesn't deserve this.  Otto only wants to help the world but the petty rivalry he has with Norman is stopping that from happening."

"Hey!  I have an idea." Rosie shot up from her seat with a smile plastered on her face.  "How much are you against breaking the law?"  Darren's eyes widened and let out a deep chuckle, "Pretty much against it but I'm intrigued so go on."  "What do you think about breaking into Oscorp Industries and steal back Otto's plans?"

"I don't know."  Darren shrugged, pursing his lips.  "How would we do it?"  Rosie grinned at him and reached over, grabbing his hand and tugging him towards the exit.  "I'll tell you the plan while you drive us there."

From across the empty lab, Octavius was watching his two workers leave his laboratory, a mischievous smile spreading across his face as he grabbed his coat and sneakily followed behind without them noticing.  "I'm getting back what was mine."

Standing in front of Oscorp Tower, Rosie was fixing the collar of Darren's shirt, making it look more professional.  "Okay, remember the plan?"  She asked and he nodded, readjusting his glasses that rested on the bridge of his nose.  "Yeah.  I'll distract Norman Osborn, thinking that I want a job here while you sneak into his office and take back Otto's blueprints."  Rosie nodded, and just as she was about to enter the tower Darren pulled her back.  "Wait!  You are going to need this."  He handed her a flash drive.

"It's a digital blueprint." Rosie grabbed the drive and pushed the nineteen year old in, whispering, "Signal me when it's clear to go." Darren nodded and walked up the steps of the tower, pushing through the double glass doors and entered the lobby.
