It was around eleven at night, Peter's arms were securely around Gwen's hips, the two teens were asleep on her bed as the theme song of the movie, Crazy Stupid Love was playing in the background. The two teens fallen asleep about halfway through the movie, Gwen's head was resting on Peter's chest as his cheek rested on her head.
After him and Rosie went their separate ways, Peter went over to Gwen's place like he promised, and the two watched a couple movies, sharing a kiss every now and then. Throughout the afternoon and night, the feeling of Rosie's lips on his cheek never went away. Whenever he would brush his fingertips against the spot where she kissed him, it would send sparks through his body, making his heart leap around in his chest.
The sudden sound of a phone ringing caused Peter's eyes to slowly flutter open, grabbing it and seeing that it was his phone ringing that Yuri was the one calling him. Peter attempted to carefully push Gwen off of him but failed when he saw his girlfriend's eyes open up and a yawn falling from her lips. "Peter, who's calling you?"
"O-Oh, it's Aunt May. Probably asking where I am, I'll be right back." Peter gave her a quick peck on her forehead and left her room. He entered the guest bathroom and locked the door behind him, pressing the accept button on his phone and pressed it against his ear. "Hey Yuri, what is it?" He whispered quietly, not wanting Gwen or her parents to hear him. "Spider-Man, there has been an explosion at Oscorp Tower. We need you here."
"I'm on way." Peter immediately replied, hanging up his phone and stuffed it into his pocket. He walked out of the bathroom and made his way back towards Gwen's room where his backpack was that held his spider suit.
"Hey baby, I have to go—" The moment Peter stepped into Gwen's room, he could feel his heart fall into the pit of his stomach and his skin turn pale. Right in front of him stood his girlfriend of two months holding his homemade spider suit, her eyes wide as she made contact with Peter's. "You're Spider-Man?"
"I—I can explain." He stuttered, his heart beating against his chest at a fast pace. "You're Spider-Man....." She repeated, more in a confirming tone than a questionable one. "Listen..." Peter slowly approached Gwen that had a surprised expression on her face. "I have to go, but I promise that I'll explain everything when I come back."
Gwen slowly nodded, biting down on her lower lip as she handed Peter his suit. "Do you have to go because of your aunt called you or because of this..." She gestured towards the suit. She knew the answer to her question when she saw an apologetic look on his face. Peter ran back to the guest bathroom and changed into suit, mentally scolding himself for not being more careful. Gwen was the last person he wanted to know, knowing that she could be put in danger because of him.
Running back to her room, he found her sitting on the edge of her bed with the same shocked expression on her face. "Hey..." Peter walked up and kneeled in front of her, placing his mask on her bed and grabbed her hands. "I'm sorry for keeping this from you. I just—wanted to keep you safe." Gwen just nodded, not knowing what to say. Peter cupped her face in his hands and pressed his lips against hers. She instantly kissed back, her hands going up to rest on his broad shoulders as their lips moved in sync, their kiss full of love and passion.
