"It's funny how fast people can change.  One day, you mean everything.  The next day, they treat you like you don't even exist."

Rosalinda Marie Keyes hated change. She absolutely hated it. Ever since the night of Gwen Stacy's party, Rosie's life has changed drastically. Once Rosie showed her true broken self, one by one her so called friends left her.

The next day, Harry Osborn completely cut ties with Rosie, deciding that everything that happened at the party made things complicated and awkward between the two of them.

Ned Leeds was never really close with Rosie and after that night, he was anxious around her, scared that one word that comes out of his mouth would set her off. So there little friendship died easily.

Mary Jane, the only person that surprisingly stood by Rosie's side through everything. Was there for her to have a shoulder to cry on or stay up late watching movies or just for the company.

And lastly, Peter Parker.  The last person that Rosie expected would leave her.  He stayed by her side, constantly coming over to her place to make sure she was alright, be there for her whenever she needed someone to talk to.  But once his relationship with Gwen started to grow, the number of visits started to decrease.  Then, their late night conversations began to go away.  Once the second month passed, Peter was added to the list of important people that left her.

"Rosie?"  She was suddenly torn out of her thoughts by the sound of someone calling her name.  Turning her head, her eyes landed on Valentina Garcia who was leaning against her doorframe.  "I'm heading out, there's pizza in the fridge for you."  Rosie looked at her wall clock, seeing that it was nearly midnight.  "You're going to work this late?" She asked, a confused look on her face.

A sigh fell from Val's lips and she nodded, an exhausted expression made on her face.  "Yeah, Norman Osborn wanted me and my team to start this new project and he wants our full attention on it."  "What is the project?" Rosie questioned,   "I can't tell you about it." Val shook her head, pushing herself off of the doorframe.  "Now, I really have to go so goodnight!  Love you!"

"Love you too!" Rosie shouted as Val left her room, leaving the girl alone to continue reading the book she held in her hands.

After an hour or so, Rosie's phone suddenly starting ringing.  Picking it up, she saw the name of her friend's Otto Octavius's partner, Darren Williams on the screen. "Hello?" Rosie asked, getting up from her bed and made her way out of her room and towards the kitchen.  "Hey Rosie, I know it's late and all but do you think you can come over to the lab?  Otto needs your help with something."

"Yeah, I can go."  She said, grabbing her jacket off the coat racket and exited her apartment and complex.
