It's been three days since the incident that took place at Rosie's apartment, where she got taken captive by Queens's most feared gang and saved by the Spider-Man. Its been her school's hot topic ever since the news released the reports about what happened that day.
Rosie was confused at first, wondering how they got the information because she didn't see any news reporters around but Yuri then informed her that some of the police officers that were at the scene were interviewed by them.
"Oh my god! Spider-Man saved you again! He totally has a crush on you!" Mary Jane gaped towards Rosie who had an annoyed look on her face. "I don't think so." She disagreed, "He's just doing his job." "But didn't you say that the detective said that Spider-Man wanted her to check up on you?" Gwen pointed out.
"I mean—" Rosie tried to explain but she had to admit, didn't have an answer for that one. "—yes he did ask detective Watanabe to keep tabs on me but he probably does that for all the people he saves." "Just the ones he loves..." MJ teased, laughing at the blush forming on her friend's cheeks.
"Hey guys!" The three girls turned their heads to see Harry walking into their science classroom with Peter and Ned trailing behind. "What are you guys talking about?" "We were just talking about Spider-Man who is obviously in love with our little Rosie." Peter's eyes widened at the words that left from Gwen's mouth. "W-Why would you guys think t-that?" He stuttered, nibbling on his lower lip which was now healed.
"Because I mean who would save the same girl twice and ask the police to keep an eye on her without feeling some sort of affection towards her?" MJ questioned, resting her arms on her desk and her body leaning slightly forward. "I also told them that he is just doing his job." Rosie reminded, rolling her eyes. She was obviously annoyed by the topic. When she came back to school the next day, she was constantly bombarded by students and teachers, asking her if she is alright and everything.
"Alright forget about this whole Spider-Man topic." Gwen spoke up, Rosie mentally cheering inside her head. "My party is tomorrow night, you guys are all going right?" Everyone nodded, mumbling 'yeah' or 'mhmm'. They all then turned to Rosie, who had her chin resting on top her desk. "You coming Rosie?" Gwen asked, batting her eyelashes at her. "I need a ride..." She replied, shrugging her shoulders.
Peter was about to speak up and offer her a ride but Harry spoke up, cutting him off. "I can give you a ride." Rosie smiled at the handsome boy, "Perks of having an older friend." She joked, nodding her head as a gesture for 'thank you'.
As class began to start, Peter couldn't help but feel a pang of jealously in him when he noticed Harry, his best friend sneak glances towards Rosie, his other best friend throughout the entire class period.
