The thought of the masked hero from the previous night hasn't yet left Rosalinda Keyes's mind. She was currently applying the finishing touches of her makeup as she made educated guesses as to who could be person under the mask, most of her guesses were boys from her school.
She knew her hero was a teenager due to the tone of his voice. The sudden sound of someone knocking on her apartment's door broke the girl away from her thoughts.
Rosie got up from her desk and exited her room, walking down the stairs and her eyes going towards the living room's couch that was surprisingly unoccupied. "Not that I'm complaining, but where the hell is he?" She thought, noticing her dad never came home last night.
The person behind the door knocked again, causing Rosie to quicken her pace to it. Getting to it, Rosie pulled the latch off the door and pulled it open, revealing an Asian woman standing in the doorway. "May I help you?" Rosie asked politely. The woman pulled out a badge, showing that she is a police officer. "I am detective Yuriko Watanabe from the NYPD. Is it okay if I ask you some questions about the events of what happened last night?" A confused expression filled Rosie's face as she squinted her eyes at the detective, "How did you know I was there?"
Yuriko let out an impatient sigh and put her badge back in her pocket, pulling out a small notepad and flipped it to a certain page. "Spider-Man stopped by last night and informed the police station about the incident, saying that a teenage girl was being held up by two men." She handed Rosie the notepad which was covered with tiny notes. "He gave me your name and address and told me to check on you." Rosie couldn't help but feel her heart flutter and heat go to her cheeks at the woman's words. "He wanted someone to check on me?"
"May I come in now?" The female detective asked with hint of impatience in her voice. "Oh—yeah!" Rosie stepped aside to give the woman some space to walk in before closing the door. "Do you have a parent or guardian living with you?" She asked, her eyes scanning over the fairly large apartment. "Yes Ms. Watanabe but he's at——work." "Just call me Yuri." She told the girl.
Yuri walked over to the living room and took a seat on the small couch. "Please sit down." Rosie hesitantly went over and sat beside her, putting a small gap between the two. "So, Spider-Man told me that there were two men with you when he came and saved you. Is that correct?" Rosie nodded, her fingers laced together. "Is it true that those men were part of a gang known as the Sixers?" The brunette nodded again. "What were you doing out so late, Ms. Rosalinda Keyes?"
"I—I was shopping." "But Spider-Man said that you didn't have anything on you except for a school's backpack." Yuri interrupted her. "I didn't say I bought anything though." Rosie snapped back. "Fair point."
