It was like time in the world stopped and everything froze when those words came out, "There was an explosion at Oscorp Tower..." the people walking outside stopped moving, the cars driving by froze, the birds just floated. "Peter?" Gwen spoke up, snapping her fingers to get the frozen boy's attention, noticing his eyes widening.

Peter ran towards his closest, ignoring Gwen's question and yanked the doors open, pulling out his homemade suit and began to strip off his clothes until he was only in his boxers, not caring about his ex girlfriend's presence when the only thing that his mind was focusing on was getting to Oscorp as quickly as possible to do his duties and save people, save Rosie. "Pete, what's going on?" Gwen asked, watching him rush to slip his sweatpants and hoodie on. "There was an explosion at Oscorp. Rosie's there." He answered bluntly, attaching his web shooters to his wrist and jumped swiftly over his bed to his window, sliding it open. "I got go." He was about to slip his mask on until he heard the sound of his doorknob jiggling.

He whipped his head around and saw Gwen about to leave his room. Peter quickly shot his webs at his doorknob, connecting it to his wall, making it unable to open up. "No! Stay, please." "Why? You're leaving anyway. To save your girlfriend." She spat, her tone had a hint of venom in it. "Just stay in here until I get back. I don't want May or Ben coming in here while I'm gone."

"So, am I like a distraction or something?" She asked, rolling her eyes. "Please..." He begged, staring at her with a pleading glint in his eyes. Gwen let out a low sigh before nodding her head. "Go." She told Peter, who gave her a smile that showed he was thankful before slipping his mask on and jumping out his window and off his fire escaping, shooting his webs and swung himself across buildings, running along side of them, doing anything he could to get to his destination faster.

While web-slinging from one building to another, Peter pulled out his phone and dialed Detective Watanabe's number, hearing her answer after a couple rings. "Yuri! I'm on my way there, how is it going?"

"Terrible." She simply answered, the sound of gunshots in the background filling his ears. "That guy with the robotic tentacles is here also. He's putting up a tough fight with me and my men, holding us back from getting closer to the tower."

"What about the people inside? Has anyone came out yet?" Peter asked, his mind traveling back to Rosie. "No. Whoever it was shooting electricity, electrified the entire tower, stopping the people inside  from getting out." "Don't worry Yuri, I'm almost there." Peter told her, seeing the sparkingly Oscorp Tower in the distance.

The phone call then ended and Peter stuffed his phone back in his pocket, shaking his head. "Dammit Peter, you should've gone with her." He blamed himself, thinking that if he was there, maybe he could've protected her and stopped whatever happened from happening. All he could think of right though was getting there and saving Rosie.
