"Alpha Pierce, I present to you Tobias, the wolf from the Evergreen Pack." Beta Ryker Hayes announced walking towards his friend Alpha Alessio's study, Tobias trailing behind him.
"I thought your pack doctor was attending this meeting." His bored tone was somehow still intimidating as he looks up from his laptop, his piercing eyes assessing Tobias.
"Uh Yes he was supposed to... but he got held back as he was needed for medical purposes."
"And why would he send a mere pup to come and retrieve those medical supplies?"
The alpha's thunderous growl rang throughout the room making Tobias flinch. "Your Alpha should know that I don't trust just anyone let alone allow them into my territory."
"It's not just me, I brought the daughter of the pack doctor. She's waiting for me outside." Tobias snapped back, attempting to mind link Reynah. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion when there was no response.
Alpha Pierce growled. "I don't appreciate the disrespect pup, keep the attitude and I'll have you sent back to your pack with your tail tucked in between your knees, without that medicine"
"I apologise Alpha, I didn't mean it to come off in a rude way. I just need-"
Tobias Help!
He halted his sentence, a voice he knew all too well screamed in desperation through the mind link. As he shot up from his seat, his eyes flickered up to the darkening eyes of the Alpha. Tobias was livid.
"I thought you would call off your guards if I discussed the terms of our trade with you. Call them off. Now!" The Evergreen wolf yelled, his reasoning thrown out of the door wanting to find Reynah.
Alpha Pierce clenched his fists, and narrowed his gaze at the accusation.
"How dare you question the Alpha's authority!" The Beta of the Silver Claw pack yelled.
Just as Tobias was about to speak, the doors to the Alpha's office burst open, banging harshly against the wall. "Alessio!"
The same young girl who was attacked stood in the doorway, droplets of water falling onto the hardwood floor as her wet clothes stuck to her like a second skin. She was shivering due to fear and the cold, her eyes red, tears running down her cheeks.
"Aspen? What happened?!" The Alpha rushed towards his younger sister, Aspen wrapping her hands around her brother's large waist tightly. She was trembling.
"Rogues!" She cried, "They a-attacked me, they had silver chains, the girl...p-please help her, she needs help!" she blubbered.
Tobias instantly made the connection to Reynah who only momentarily cried for his help. He froze, his eyes widened in panic and in an instant he made a run for the now open door.
Before he could take one step out the door he felt a tight grip on his neck realising he was being held back by Beta Hayes, his iron grip made his attempts to get free futile.
"Don't even think of trying to escape" The beta growled, Tobias struggling in his hold.
"You have to help her Alessio! She told me to run, please save her!" Aspen cried hysterically, as the normally stoic and cold Alpha rubbed her back in comfort and ushered her to her room, leaving the Beta and Tobias behind.
Once Aspen was safely contained in his room he let the anger he was holding in back seep through, murder soon consumed the Alpha's thoughts.
The thought of rogues harming his only sister made Alessio's blood boil, with a ferocious growl he strided out of the pack house ready to slowly kill the threat towards his sister.
Ryker, lock that mutt up and find me once you're done. I need to spill some blood
