Tobias was instantly flung across the hospital ward and his body smashed into the wall. He groaned in pain, gasping for air when he was suddenly held against the wall by Alessio.
"Stop! What are you doing? He's my friend, leave him alone!" Reynah yelled, quickly running towards Alessio. She gripped his bicep, attempted to pull him away from her friend.
Alessio let Tobias fall to the floor with a thud, he watched as his mate released her hold on his arm and instead bent over with her injured leg to help an undeserving pup.
"Tobias, I'm so sorry, are you okay?" For what she was apologising for was beyond Alessio, but he didn't like the fact that his mate was so concerned for another wolf, a male at that.
Tobias groaned when Reynah helped him stand up. Tobias pushed Reynah behind him once he steadied himself. Alessio growled at Tobias for shielding his mate from his view.
"Move" Alessio commanded using his Alpha voice. Tobias caved, his wolf surrendering when recognising an Alpha. He sidestepped, Alessio calming when his mate was in his sight once again.
Reynah stared at Alessio shocked, his Alpha tone a clear indication of who he really was, he wasn't just her mate, he was the Alpha of Silver Claw Pack.
"Reynah, we need to leave now" Tobias piped up again, irritating Alessio further
"She's not leaving" Alessio growled
"Tobias we came here for a reason, we can't go home empty handed again" Reynah pleaded to her friend, she felt nervous realising how much power the man before her had but her wolf reminded her that he was no threat to her.
Reynah turned to Alessio, "I came here because this was the only pack that seems to be unaffected by the aftermath of the war, we were hoping you would give us some of your medical supplies, my pack needs them"
"If I do, will you stay here?" Alessio inquired, he didn't know how to ask his mate to stay in his pack, however, it seemed as if she odds were in his favour.
"Absolutely not" Tobias spoke for Reynah, glaring up at the man who was more than a head taller than he was.
"I wasn't asking you pup"
"I can't abandon my pack, I'm a healer, my pack needs me now more than ever" Reynah said, not wanting another fight between Tobias and her mate
"And how do you suppose you can help your pack if you don't have the medicine to do so" Alessio said
Reynah glared at her mate, this guy seemed adamant on making her stay; he was toying with them. Two could play at that game.
"Fine, we can just get it from another pack" Reynah smirked, and turned towards the door.
Just like she predicted, Reynah couldn't take more than three steps away from Alessio before he stood in front of the exit, his eyes narrowing at her action.
"One month"
"What?"
"I will give you what you want if you stay for a month" Alessio explained, Reynah thought about it and decided that one month wasn't too long of a time, she was sure her father could cope with the pack, especially if Alessio kept his word and gave her all the supplies they required.
"Deal"
"You must be out of your mind if you think I'm leaving you here alone" Tobias interrupted
"Tobias, he will only give us what we came for if I stay, our pack is dropping in numbers, please you need to go home. I promise I'll be okay, please trust me and know that I can take care of myself"
"It's not you I don't trust, It's him, what if he hurts you?"
Alessio growled at that comment, he held his wolf back who was ready to rip Tobias' throat out but for his mate's sake he refrained from doing so.
"Please Tobias, you need to go" Reynah pleaded, sighing Tobias reluctantly agreed, he knew he couldn't win, he needed to consider the pack's best interests and hoped the Moon Goddess knew what she was doing pairing his friend with a ruthless man like Alpha Pierce.

"Tell my father not to worry, I'll be back before you know it" Reynah said embracing her friend in a hug.
"Your old man can handle himself but sure, I'll help him out " Tobias said letting go of Reynah before taking off.
