I was in a deep sleep until I could feel the harsh light of the sun, my eyes slowly opened adjusting to the light. Rising in a sitting position on the spacious bed I saw that the curtains were open.
"Morning Luna, would you like me to prepare a bath for you?"
At the new presence I stiffened, I turned to my right to see a young girl in a maid outfit, her head bent down towards the floor to show a form of respect. I was flabbergasted, was she talking to me?
"You don't have to do that," I said referring to her respectful position.
Clearly she didn't get the hint, thinking I was talking about the bath.
"You can lift your head," I said more clearly, she was confused but she did as she was told.
"Thank you Luna."
"That too, you can stop that,"
"Pardon my confusion Luna, can you please rephrase your sentence?" I felt so out of place in front of her, she was so polite that I must've appeared to be so unrefined and rude to her.
"You don't have to call me Luna, my name's Reynah."
"I don't think the Alpha would like that Luna, he believes that stating one's title is a sign of respect and I would never want to disrespect you or the Alpha."
The young girl didn't waver in her reply, I still felt uncomfortable in my new position as Luna but I just nodded at her with a smile, giving up.
"The Alpha informed me that you don't have any clothes to wear so I layed out a few outfits for you to wear, feel free to tell me if it isn't to your liking." She continued to talk.
"Sorry I forgot to ask, what's your name?"
"M-My name? It's Talia." I smiled at the girl, my sudden question caused her to blush from embarrassment.
"Talia, do you know what the time is by chance?"
"Of course, it's a little past 3 pm."
"What! Why didn't anyone wake me up, I've slept for more than 10 hours!"
"Alpha wanted you to have a long sleep so your wound could heal fully, he made sure that no one disturbed you."
"Oh,"
"Please wait here while I start your bath." Talia said, but before she could leave I quickly got out of the bed.
"There's no need for that! I can manage on my own," I persisted, directing her towards the door.
"But-"
I cut her off before she could finish her sentence.
"Thank you for the help but I can get ready by myself, please enjoy the rest of your day" I didn't wait for another objection from her as I closed the door with a sigh. I looked around the grand room, I felt so out of place here; it would take a lot of getting used to before I felt comfortable with people doing everything for me.
