Reynah's POV
As I turned around an older woman, whose face was scratched with cuts, came up to me and grabbed my hand.
"Please Luna, please save my son" She begged as she pointed towards a young man in the back corner of the room. I nodded my head towards her and then quickly walked the opposite way to grab some medical supplies - or at least what was left of them. I rushed towards the young man, who adorned a large cut across his chest but luckily it wasn't too deep.
"Here, apply pressure with this" I muttered to the young man's mother. Her hands were trembling but she still did it. I smiled.
"That's it, just like that." I raised my voice a bit, and began to prepare myself for the procedure I had to conduct. My eyebrows furrowed in concentration as I began to follow the steps my father so diligently taught me back when he and I were healers for the Evergreen pack.
A few minutes later I bandaged the wound up after applying the same healing tonic I used on Jade, I did the best I could, the bleeding had lessened and the young man was finally conscious.
"This will do for now, but if you don't heal by tomorrow you'll need further medical treatment, but don't worry it's nothing serious" I reassured the mother as I headed towards another injured pack member.
"Thank you Luna."
The injured woman in front of me must have been in her late twenties, and by the way she was cradling her arm it was clear she had fractured it.
"Can I have look?" I said gesturing towards her arm and she nodded. I gently grabbed her arm and inspected it.
"Don't worry you'll be okay." I reassured her as I immobilised her arm, preventing her from moving it any further, I gently pushed her backwards in order for her to lean against the wall so she was more comfortable. I ripped off a piece of the blanket attached to one of the infirmary beds and used it as an arm sling, wrapping it around the woman.
"I'm sorry I can't do anything about the pain, but you'll slowly heal so take some rest" She gave me a small smile in thanks, which I returned.
The pack members who needed urgent assistance were the ones I treated first, but thankfully nobody seemed to be seriously injured, especially since they healed quickly. I greeted the few other healers in the infirmary as well and together we had managed to help most of the people in the room.
I'm glad I was able to help them even a litt-
Suddenly, the door burst open and a large man fell to the ground with his eyes barely open. He was completely naked, most likely because he had shifted back due to his injuries. I rushed towards him, but two males reached him first, covering him up with the spare blankets.
"Allow us Luna" They lifted the barely conscious man up, laying him on an empty infirmary bed. I couldn't hear his heartbeat from where I stood so I laid my head on his chest. I started to panic but controlled myself. Blood painted his body, I could hardly see the critical areas.
"He's barely breathing, he won't be able to heal himself at this rate." I was thinking out loud and regretted it immediately when I heard a sob from behind me.
That must be his mate.
"Quick, get some water and you, apply pressure to the wound on his abdomen" I ordered, handing one of them a large cloth. Alisa, another healer was making a healing tonic.
"Luna, the water" The young man handed me a large basin full of water. I poured the water of his injuries but flushed out the deep wounds with an antiseptic rinse. Once I did that, Alisa helped me bandage the man up with bandages that she had soaked in the tonic.
I let out a breath of relief when I found he was still breathing, his heartbeat was faster too. I went on to treat his smaller injuries, whilst washing all the blood of his body. He had already begun the process of healing and that eased my mind.
I turned to the woman who I assumed was the injured man's mate. She was holding his hand in such a strong grip, trembling all the way. She looked to me, tears streaming down her face.
I couldn't imagine losing Alessio.
"Thank you Luna" Bowing, showing her gratitude. I gave her a soft smile, giving her shoulder a reassuring squeeze before lifting myself off the ground to check on Jade.
Third P.O.V
The sound of ripping flesh was heard as Alessio's claws dug into the rogue's heart who howled in pain before dropping to the ground, a pool of blood pouring out of the open wound.
Alessio shifted in his wolf and the crimson blood painted his black fur as he ripped out the throat of another rogue.
Every rogue that attempted to attack Alessio ended up dead on the ground. Alessio's large wolf lashed out at two rogues who were running towards one of his pack members, a growl resonating through the forest.
The few rogues that remained standing headed back into the forests, Alessio mindlinked his pack warriors who were guarding the borders to kill them before he shifted back, unphased by his nudity.
"Clean up the mess here and take one to the interrogation cell." Alessio ordered his Beta, Ryker as he stepped over a lifeless rogue.
He put on a pair of shorts that was given to him by another warrior before making his way inside the pack house. His wolf was growling restless not knowing if his mate was safe or not.
Alessio made long strides towards his office, a thunderous growl erupted from him when he noticed the empty room. Alessio made an attempt to mindlink Reynah but punched the wall in frustration when she didn't respond leaving a large hole.
He tried to reach out to her again but the mindlinks were futile, Reynah wasn't responding which only left Alessio more agitated. The scent of her was also too faint, she wasn't here.
A foreign emotion consumed him as Alessio's eyes turned blood red. Fuck
When Alessio couldn't trace her scent in the packhouse he ran back outside. The scent of blood invaded his nose and he could almost taste the metallic taste of blood. Alessio growled in frustration when he couldn't catch the familiar smell of lavender in the field of carcasses.
Find my mate. Find your luna. Alessio ordered immediately through the mind link to all of his pack warriors. It didn't take long before he got a response.
'Alpha, she's in the infirmary.'
Alessio's heart stopped for a moment, his fear intensifying as he sprinted towards the infirmary, his figure a blur in the night.
Alessio threw the door's of the infirmary open, the doors knocking against the wall, startling everyone in the room. Alessio's red eyes frantically darted around the room, searching for his mate before finally making contact with her enlarged hazel eyes.
Ignoring the fact that everyone in the room was staring, Alessio strode forward, tightly embracing Reynah in his arms while being careful to not harm her in any way. Reynah was startled by Alessio's sudden act of affection, but still she wrapped her arms around Alessio broad shoulders, thankful he was unharmed.
At the contact, Alessio's tense figure relaxed as he breathed in his mate's scent. Once he was sure that Reynah was unscathed he leaned closer, his lips grazing her ear.
"Do you enjoy seeing me like this amor?"
