"You could learn a lesson or two from him, at least he knows how to -"
Alessio's eyes darkened and a low growl escaped his mouth, he roughly gripped her waist and forced his mate onto his lap.
"I dare you to finish that sentence"

With a heart...
"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on." - Robert Frost
Reynah's POV
As we came down the stairs I immediately noticed Alessio, his back was facing me but from the way he tensed, I could tell he could sense I just entered the room.
He turned around and I fiddled with my fingers as I felt his heated stare on me, I finally got enough courage to meet his stare.
My eyes widened when I noticed how close he was, I internally cursed when I realised Jade and Aspen had already left, leaving me alone with him.
He looked as handsome as ever but I noticed his eyes were a darker shade than his usual chocolate browns.
"Uhh-Hey, let's get going?"
Alessio grasped my hand in his and we headed outside to where the ceremony was to supposedly take place. It was decorated beautifully with lights hanging from the trees, it was simple yet enchanting.

I tried to keep up with Alessio's long strides, I swear he had the legs of a giraffe. As we got closer to the center of the forest I grew increasingly nervous. I breathed in the fresh air, ever since I got here I deviated from going outside, I didn't want to see the pack members, mainly for the reason that I was leaving - well not anymore. Ironic how I'm even more nervous now.
Alessio and I began to further walk down the evident path of the forest, and I could finally make out the faces of some pack members.
My steps faltered when I looked at their faces.
I felt hundreds of stares on me, me alone, I wanted the earth to swallow me whole. I felt Alessio tighten his grip on my hand. He turned his head slightly towards me - still walking.
"You're beautiful." That's all he said before he turned his head back. He slowed his steps for which I was thankful for. I let out a deep breath. His grip on my hand was reassuring, I held onto it more tightly, my fingers interlocking with his - it helped.
Relax, he's going to be with you the entire time.
The path ended, and in front of me was now an old woman, I was assuming she was Katiana. I felt the need to bow for some reason, and she did the same.
"Come, child, let the lunar ritual begin" She held my hand and walked me up to an area where there was a table made of wood, and a number of bowls and a knife placed on it. Aspen and Jade informed me of the rituals, but I still had no idea what I was doing.
Goddess please be with me.
The quiet murmurs of the pack were silenced by Alessio as soon as he raised his hand up. He had everyone's attention now. I noticed Aspen and Jade standing close by, Ryker was also next to them. Each of them shot me a smile and I attempted to do the same.
